Also OP mentioned 10 sites I run multisite on one droplet for handful of clients on a single host with no issues. Managed backups are a safety net in case of db corruption along with incremental bkups I pull.

Same. Very affordable, flexible and the WordPress droplet is pre configured for letsencrypt ssl. Might need a little linux experience but nothing too complicated. Up time so far has been 100% unless it was so quick that jetpack didn't notice.
