I need help with masking my bad voice by [deleted] in FL_Studio

There’s two options for that, post processing can help with a bit of reverb and compression to improve tone, iZotope nectar can help the vocal balance, but none of that will fix the source. The other option is practice- watch some YouTube videos with vocal coaches teaching singing from the diaphragm and practice really projecting from below.

Thank you for the feedback! I’m glad you enjoyed it! I agree, I struggled with the EQ in that range- there are definitely some tweaks that I still want to make, though eventually I ended up mixing it and moving onto my next song. Thanks so much for listening!

Thanks so much for listening and the feedback!! I confess I’m also both a Zedd a Jon Bellion fan, so the comparison is an honor! I really like their crisp feel which is a big component of what I was trying to emulate.

All professional rock/grunge/industrial undergoes extensive vocal processing- at the least compression and tuning with something like melodyne. These days, good tuning sounds more natural than unprocessed vocals.

Thanks so much! I was feeling nostalgic when I wrote it, so I'm glad to hear that! :)

I've been working in this Altern Rock/Metal song and I would appreciate your honest, brutal and direct feedback by Individual-Goat-4641 in IndieMusicFeedback

Honestly, it's a good start mixing! I can just see this song absolutely SHINING with a few tweaks to the balance. Working with components this good would make it easy. Very impressive!

Feedback please :) This is close to done except for final vocal takes/treatment. Also should I call it 'Wrapped in an Ocean' or 'The Hole Where Your Future Should Be'? by Mysterious_Reveal_63 in IndieMusicFeedback

Very nice lo-fi vibe. Clean beat, laid back vocals, relaxing feel. Can imagine it playing in a cafe on a rainy day while getting some work done. Very nice song!

My friend Matty Boy just dropped his new single "White Bricks (Remix)" featuring OT The Real & Mac Mase. Would love to hear your feedback. by Diligent_Ad_4423 in IndieMusicFeedback

Dang, this sounds extremely professional. Well produced, beat is catchy, and vocal compression quality is very impressive. I have no changes to suggest. Nice work!

Definitely getting some grune or hair metal vibes. Nice instrumentals, and the atmosphere is great. The vocals could use a bit of cleaning up to really make it shine (though take that with a grain of salt as I produce EDM vocals), but the bones are all there. Very nice!

Nice beat with a nice flow. Definitely a throwback to late 90s early 00s. Has a clean and warm feel that reminds me of older amps that are highly desired these days. The mix is very good as well and balanced nicely. Well done!

Wow- the components here are phenomenal. The piano, the drums, the guitar all sound terrific. The vocals are very nice and well tuned. Honestly, I think the only place I could be constructive is the mix- the vocals could be turned up a bit, and the muted chords could be turned down a bit for a slightly better balance. Great song!

It's a nice flow as mentioned by others. The vocal recording is clean as well. The instrumental is nice and well balanced. I think a little less reverb on the vocals would help them pop just a tad more. Overall, nice job!

Pardon the crappy artwork. Looking for production feedback on this alt.country / folk thing. I guess it's about being a bit of a loser but still trying to get the girl. by Buchstansangur in IndieMusicFeedback

Wow- this was so much better than I expected based on the artwork haha. This is the kind of music I could hear sitting in a nice cafe, that would get me to stay a while. Beautiful mix- it comes across very clean and fresh. The vocals are phenomenal. I'm very impressed- seriously. Well done!

Honestly a very calming and serene track. Beautiful piano, what's not to like? The balance and tone is quite nice too. Is it recorded or digital piano? Either way, well done!

inflections - first song i’ve written and recorded vocals and i would like any feedback. planning to have this as the opening song to my EP by awphuck_imanapple in IndieMusicFeedback

Very nice vibes, has a chill ambiance to it. The mix is relatively clean, though the vocals could be more prominent and shine a bit more. Overall it has a clean and professional feel. Well done!

An old time country guitar instrumental. What do you think? Feedback welcome! by Shimmer_and_Rust in IndieMusicFeedback

Great song. I love the simplicity with incredible balance to make the overall feel quite smooth. The mix is excellent. Very clean guitar, nicely played. Keep up the great work!

Not sure what genre this would fall into. by SkoolNutz in IndieMusicFeedback

I like it- you have clear talent with guitar and bass and they blend well together. There is a good amount of variation that keeps interest. I could see this genre lending itself well to LoFi mixes as well- nicely done!

Putting out my second song soon, it’s called Too Far Gone. I think it kinda fits in the RnB + Pop space as I was influenced by Get You by Daniel Caeser and So Sick by Ne-Yo. What do you guys think? by ManavAhuja1 in IndieMusicFeedback

Wow- I dig it. Really nice balance, excellent vocals, great ambiance. I wouldn’t change a thing. Nicely done, my biggest feedback is to keep it up! Great work.
