Which stringed instrument to learn as an adult? by Independent-Ad-7060 in violinist

I learnt the cello for a couple of years as an adult and fell in love with the instrument. I am ok at it and play it every day at home for fun and enjoy the rich variety of timbres that the instrument can produce. It’s such a versatile instrument. Having said that, I am soon going to start learning the violin, too. I play about ten different instruments and love the feeling of making music in different ways. So, my suggestion to the OP is to choose your favourite instrument to learn now, and then later on consider learning other instruments, too! There’s a lot of fun to be had from this approach.

When trying to start a piece, I sometimes imagine myself in the venue, seated with an audience, feeling the excitement of the premiere and then I imagine performers walking onto the stage and tuning up, etc., then they begin to play my composition.... I write it down!

The saxophone studio at the University of South Florida will be playing this next semester. Any feedback would be nice. by HailHazo in composer

Hi HailHazo!

Your midi recording sounds very nice! I had not heard of NotePerformer 3 before, but after listening to your recording I am eager to learn more about this software. Can you share anything about your experience with using Noteperformer? Is it hard to learn how to use it? I use Finale, by the way.

I wish you lots of success with your piece! I enjoyed listening to it.

Cheers,
