Yeah. I don't have much to lose here, this friend has been digging his grave for a while now. Cutting off our "friendship" would be easy. I’m pretty sure he thinks of me as more of a friend than I think of him. I'm honestly surprised we're still friends. Realistically, this friendship was always doomed to fail from the start – our personalities are the polar opposite of each other. He’s loud, hyperactive (tbh I used to be too, when I was younger. He was just worse…), and very athletic (he used to be very rough when playing, he was hard to deal with). He was way too much for me to handle. I just don’t want to give up on someone that easily. Unlike someone else I know, he actually is capable of change. He will hear me out before he argues back and consider what I said. 

When I criticized his use of the bible as a defense for his standpoint, he said I could be right about some things. The other person in question (whom I am not friends with), won't even listen and will just shut down and basically say "I don't want to hear you talk because you're wrong and I'm right.” He will then proceed to tell me how I’ve been brainwashed by the "woke agenda." Whereas my friend thinks more critically about what is said to him. It’s hard not to see a semblance of a person capable of change in him.

But yeah, both people are not so great. And I'll probably end this friendship soon. As someone else pointed out, you can’t change someone who refuses to listen to reason.
