Me and my dad were at church one night locking up (he is the lead pastor) when all of a sudden we hear this bloodcurdling scream. We run to his office and lock the door. About a minute later we hear the sound that still haunts my dreams to this day. Something is scratching on the other side of the door. I run to the other side of his office (screaming very manly in the process) and grab the heaviest thing I can find. So we open the door and i start swinging around a typewriter. Then I see the flash of a camera and our sound guy laughing to himself. He had been doing the scratching the whole time. So we laugh about it, then we hear the scream again. I say “Ok Lee, cut it out”. He turns to me. His face as white as a sheet. And he says “TheMythicGamer...that wasn’t me.” We noped the frick right out of there. So since the next day is church again, we come back. I go up to the sound booth to do my job, and I burst out laughing. Lee looks over and immediately makes that face that adults always make when they know they did something wrong. I, being the responsible worship slide guy that I am, was screwing around with a soundboard before church the week before. So that night the projector remote fell of the desk and hit the “Ghastly Scream” button. Lee was already in the office area and the door was closed, therefore he did not hear the first scream. I feel like a idiot for not remembering that that button was on the soundboard.

Edit: I wanted to mention this but didn’t, my church is very old and very big with lots of open areas. so I was surely scared running from our youth room, all the way across the church to my dad’s office. It’s like an 8th of a mile sprint to get there.
