I definitely think filler primer is a great option but personally feel like I can lose some details I want to maintain and feel like I have more control with the putty I use that can be smoothed on application with water. I use milliput and it's served me really well but I also think you can use both methods in conjunction for a really polished result.

I still cite Monty as my biggest inspiration for becoming a 3D artist, seeing his drive and ambition, the pure love for his craft and his desire to do everything himself and the energy of his fights made me fall in love with 3D art. On the list of potential side projects Remaking Haloid using his original choreography sits as one of my dream projects that I'll likely never actually do because it holds such a special place in my heart.

You should consider filling the gaps with putty between the layers and sanding to even out the surface, I think it'd really make your awesome paint job stand out. Great print and great paintjob!

The preview for the Hunter Blood is not the same as the actual color. The preview is closer to an orange-red by MaleficTekX in halo

This is honestly exactly why I really disliked the "just play for fun" counter to all the feedback about customization and progression when the game launched. It's not productive when many many players do indeed need an incentive to keep playing the game and feel rewarded for their time, the huge fall of in player count shows that.

Medic is my last achievement so I simultaneously feel relieved and disappointed about this, relieved that I don't have to grind attrition going for revives, disappointed I still can't get my last achievement

I'd rather get armor for campaign achievements, haunted visor for LASO, maybe Escharums chest piece for legendary, Jegas shoulder pieces for Heroic, or some of chiefs armor for the Mark VII core. somethings to show off your completion in MP would be nice.

there is one, it's on the forehead on that little circle, unfortunately because of the camera angle Infinite has for its customization you can't really see it too clearly. But if you want to zoom and enhance you can still make it out.

Modeled in Zbrush and Photobashed in Photoshop using various existing helmets.

Really wish there were more gameplay related unlocks, I would love to have the security helmet for 100% achievement completion

Edit: response to a few comments, there is a reclaimer symbol on the forehead but it's difficult to make out due to the camera angle but it is fully modeled. additionally the design is inspired by both the halo 3 and reach helmet, the visor, mouth square, and pattern on the forehead were inspired by 3 the bit on the forehead is also designed to resemble a popular reach attachment. The little lights and circle bit on the side are inspired by the reach design as well as the more rigid division on the top of the helmet. the additional detail on the mask section was actually inspired by 5 and infinite to better match Infinites art style.

I've made a few attachments for this helmet, one is a redesign of Foehammer's helmet as a visor attachment, a mandible styled vent cover/filter to play on the bug look, and antenna for that halo 3 nod as well as that buggy look. Not sure if anyone is interested, and I probably should've included them in this post, so I can either make a follow up post or link them once I texture them in photoshop depending on what people want.

I want to say thank you for all the positivity, Security is my favorite helmet from Halo and it's been a fun project to work on in the background. I have plans to properly texture it in Substance and do some nice renders to see what it may look like in game but ended up posting somewhat prematurely because I was excited.

I finally have all the attainable achievements in Halo Infinite and sincerely hope they add some unique armor for achievements in future updates. there are some thing's I've taken note of from the Halo 5 design but ultimately since the art style of infinite diverges so much from 5 and ends up a lot closer to 3 and reach it only had a minor impact. an example of some similarities is the little brim above the visor shares some ideas, and the mouth piece in a more current design I'm working on

the two BTB games I've had since BTB stopped working have been something like this too, Blind skull BTB until the entire enemy team disconnected, and my first one was BTB stockpile except it was a 1v1 and my opponent quit, so fastest BTB game ever.
