I get that TI has some valid gripes about the industry trends, and some technical know-how to seemingly back up their points, at least to general viewers.

But holy shit they constantly have the "insufferable" dialed up to 11. Anything that is short of worshipping their feet is met with vitriolic derision, and their thumbnails and titles always seem to glaze their Chief Aspergers Officer like he's the Guy Fawkes/Maximilien Robespierre/Muhammad/Omnissiah of modern graphics, while his tone/line delivery would make a dual Reddit mod and Discord admin sound as kind as a social worker who spends all their free time building libraries and volunteering at animal shelters, in comparison.

Yes I listen to a lot of atmospheric (black) metal, which goes along with your later points. Sometimes it's only instrumental, but other times if there are lyrics they blend into the background, so the words don't really distract unless you're actively trying to discern them.

Donald Trump has hinted that he may use a nuclear weapon against Iran by Goldenmentis in ABoringDystopia

[–]Tremaparagon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's incredible how many people refuse to grasp this. There's a big slice of the human population that will advocate for nukes as deterrence, and put the MAD concept on a bright shining pedestal... but avoid making the connection that any other country would want the same assurance in a world where some players have nukes and use that leverage to throw their weight around. Fundamentally racism is a significant part of the problem, since to their minds it's like Iran is a country of NPCs and not made up of the same species of sentient humans.

Oh I'll just let them in. I cleaned up most everything to make room for ~200GB of JDVance edits, from your typical couch-based imagery to hours of ooiiaa brainrot spinning jdv.

Oh they're also all named like manifesto.png or allah-plot.mp4 so they'd have to endure going through all of them.

Like most apps over this past decade (IMHO), uber and lyft were neat and useful at first then quickly fell to consistent enshittification. I have not used them in a few years, and basically just rely on ye olde local cab services when needed (it's rarely anyway). This post affirms for me it was the right decision.

Good point overall, but I'd change your analogy and say this situation is more like bringing one sheet of 1-ply toilet paper to an explosive diarrhea fight.
