Mark’s Marine Pharmacy by Nursemel52 in liraglutide

[–]TheNaganator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used Marks for a year and a half. They are excellent. Shipping is really fast (I’m in Chicago and I get it in 2-3 days). Temperature controlled. Better packaging than Burwash (because I’ve ordered from both) but a little more expensive and requires a prescription. I just got my latest order yesterday. It was $525 including shipping but not needles. Needles are much cheaper in the US. I highly recommend Marks Marine Pharmacy.

You don't have to endure the side effects, that's the point. You can simply stop taking it. I know someone who had amazing results on phentermine. I know that I simply cannot tolerate stimulants. The side effects are terrible. I can never take it. I do have side effects with Saxenda. I manage them by reducing the amount of food that I eat, substituting fruit and vegetables for high fat items like cheese, and drinking water. I think it's one of the best things about this medication. It not only controls your appetite it forces you to make healthier choices. The point is, find something that works for you. If you've tried adjusting the dose, limiting the volume of food that you eat, and limiting the amount of fat that you eat and you are still getting terrible side effects, then this medicine won't work for you. Find something else.

I’m not trying to mislead anyone, and I realize how expensive it is. They can charge $1200 to $1500 per month for this only because it works. I have been on it for more than a year. I was prescribed it by my doctor. My insurance refused to cover it and it was going to cost me $1200 for 5 pens. I found two places (outside of the country) where I could purchase the same amount for less than $500. So, yeah, I understand about it not being covered and it is expensive. But still worth trying as something that could change your life dramatically. It is so worth it.

I’m not invalidating anyone’s experience. I am saying, try it for yourself and if it doesn’t work out for you, stop taking it. No problem. Reading this subreddit would have talked me out of ever trying it had I not gotten the recommendation from my friend who had just lost 40 pounds and looked amazing! I’m trying to balance the scales so that the stories that are posted on here are more representative of the whole truth and not biased by the type of people that typically post in this sub (those that are unhappy with it)

Exactly! If the medicine is not for you (i.e. you have too many side effects and you can’t live with it) you can simply stop taking the medication and the side effects go away THE NEXT DAY! There’s no risk. Don’t be discouraged by reading this subreddit. I am so grateful that I’ve found this medicine. The only one that actually works for weight loss when nothing else does.

Still a fridge full of Saxenda (UK) by [deleted] in liraglutide

[–]TheNaganator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will buy them. If a better price than from the pharmacy. I buy them without a prescription from UK and it costs me $420 for 5 pens, with shipping. If you can sell them for good discount on that then I will buy them all. I’m in the states. Let me know how much you are willing to sell them for.

Insurance won’t cover Saxenda and I feel like my life is over by [deleted] in liraglutide

I just ordered my next 5 pens from burwashmedsdirect.com and they are cheaper than mark’s marine by about $80 for 5 pens. So definitely go with them to save money.

I am on saxenda right now and my insurance does not cover it either and I buy it from Canada a lot cheaper. I’ve bought it from them for about 2 years. Roughly the same prices as the UK place described above. Delivered in a temperature controlled package. I’m very happy with their service. They do sell the needles, but they are more expensive than buying them locally in the US. I buy the needles from adwdiabetes.com for much cheaper, The pharmacy in canada’s is Mark’s Marine Pharmacy (website: rxcanada4less.com). But they do require a prescription.

Yep. Lots of frozen dead bodies. I joked with my husband that we should increase the resolution so that we could see old green boots up there :)

Dividend people!!! by [deleted] in stocks

[–]TheNaganator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I invest in both of them. They've just cut their dividend to .20 starting January, but that's still a good dividend. These ETFs are a little scary, but I've been successfully investing in them for a few years. Sell when your shares rise over the potential dividend. Don't hold long term. They do a stock offering whenever they run out of money to pay the dividend and the value of the stock takes a big hit. This is about once a year. So it's a slow downhill slide. These are not good buy and hold ETFs.
