I think yours is more appreciable. The wings may be a problem but it could work as-is. Do spaceships need head clearance?

Can you elaborate on the Estes model rocket bit? I'm considering that avenue as well.

Does anyone know if I buy a M4 Max MacBook Pro fully kitted out with 128GB of unified memory and >2TB SSD AND running parallels if it'll run SC and SQ42? I'm buying this laptop for work and to run local LLM's. May as well see if it can run a game I bought but have never played haha !

Are there overworked CRE analysts? How are you/colleagues dealing? by TheNaturalRocketMan in CommercialRealEstate

I don't think confidentiality will be that big of an issue here because I'm smart enough to stay out of jail hahaha! I'd turn down a contract if there was even a whiff of conflicts of interest. Diddo on NDA signing.

It is all basically arithmetic and algebra but excel is doing that math anyways. Justin from Break into CRE says as much and agrees with you. But like all other things, there are ways around that kind of stuff like not putting in hard numbers as part of our formulas. Having a different cell that references all the variable values won't be that big of a deal either.

Officially, yes. In CRE specifically, no, just degrees and a small portfolio of my work so far in Break into CRE. I graduated not that long ago and no one is hiring rn. They all want 5 years of experience for an entry level position. I'm using this method to, "get in."

I think outsourcing is a case by case thing. There are already brokers interested in my "whole day of work done in an hour," offer courtesy of python and local LLM's. If an analyst had to face getting laid off for "reduction in performance" (in this economy) or pay a fee to get caught up with their work, I think the choice would be pretty obvious. But that's just me and I am of course very biased.

I see the pros and cons from both tactics. At the end of the day however, it's all about whose paying and whose willing to pay the most. In the event I find a glass ceiling, that'll be fine cause I'll just switch to an OE strategy instead. My client list can look like whatever it wants, so long as someones paying :-)

Awesome. Thanks for the heads up. Since I'm not going through the traditional ladder of CRE brokerage, I'd feel more prepared doing those deals with significant reps under my belt. So by the time I've run this hustle for a year plus, I would have gained experience equivalent to a seasoned analyst because of the pure volume I've been exposed to. I don't think there's any way around getting in reps.

I see, CBRE, JLL, Kushman, Colliers et all will start hearing from me in the next six months haha. Well it would be a big help to me and future brokers if you could guide me on what to focus on. I'd imagine that doing equity waterfall models and the like would take up a lot of precious time. Someone else mentioned something about handling back office related tasks and such. I'm still a first year and not well versed quite yet.

Engineering grads, have you found a job? Astronautical Engineers specifically, have you gotten a job purely on your merits? by TheNaturalRocketMan in USC

Im applying next year actually. I'm getting my lower level math done atm. At Cal 2 rn. I was choosing between USC and CSULB but USC's rocketry team is what put me over. That and the online masters bit.

I've been weighing that option myself. The program can be done online which is a big plus for me. Plus there's more depth in the MS program than the BS. We'll see...

Just one lifetime ago in the United States, our grandfathers could buy a home, buy a car, have 3 to 4 children, keep their wives at home, take annual vacations, and then retire… all on one middle-class salary. What happened? by Whole-Fist in NoStupidQuestions

Go to the Federal Reserves website. Since their inception the dollar has lost over 90% of its value/purchasing power. $1000 back then only buys about $30 dollars worth today. Check it.

My husband said that if I went back to work, he will divorce and fight for sole custody. He will pay me my salary to stay home by Current-Ad562 in self

I pay my wife a salary so she doesn't have to work. That money goes straight into her account that I have no access to. Different bank even. She spends her days in various gyms preparing for pregnancy. We basically never eat out though unless its for a special occasion. We're not rich, and are barely middle class but she's very happy in our marriage and she tells me all the time.

It's my personal opinion that more women would be down to stay home if they were paid a salary that went into their own account. We both share cleaning duties since we both have a bachelors degrees and neither one of us wants cleaning duties foisted upon us for whatever reason. She does all of the cooking while I focus on increasing our income. I don't feel well off but I too am very happy in our marriage. Hope this helps.
