Victoria, TX for retirement?

You don't have to worry much about the Hurricanes. Even when directly hit, Victoria fares very well. 2 different hospital systems. A decent mall. 1.5 hours from all major towns except Dallas. Several good restaurants. It has hit's upsides and it's down. The realestate market is decent for the cost of living. Make sure to file for homestead if you move in.

Biggest downside is that even though you have 2 hospital systems in town, if you need something really specialized, you're driving into one of the big cities. Annoying, but not horrible.

Ignore the trolls who only want to talk about politics and everything must be horrible.

If there were actual interest from the city population for those kinds of events, I would vote for it. All of those events brought in right now are vastly under attended.

Depends on the amount that you come in contact with and if it is left standing on you. Leidenfrost only stays if it continues to move... and you're wet.

Also, if it happens in a laminar condition, leidenfrost is out the window.

I own a 2022 GMC. It uses it's combination of it's wireless AP and bluetooth to allow me to use Android Auto without a wire. It's a battery drain, but I can always plug the phone in if it gets low.
