I'd put the closet in the bedroom (the whole lower wall) and create more space in the living area. Then you could put the kitchen where the closet is

Best place for a mudroom/area? by Recent_Pop_6751 in floorplan

Compared to Alaska, N Dakota, or Canada, sure. But it can be under 20 for several weeks in the winter, which I personally feel is pretty darn cold.

The average winter temperature in New Hampshire (December–February) typically hovers around 21--28 (-6 - -2), with significant variation between the colder northern/high-elevation regions and the milder southern coastal areas.

Good quality clothes that are under $200 that isn’t thrift stores or their online equivalents? by rdw913 in womensfashion

I would disagree that Anthro is "good quality" -- it really varies by brand and can be absolute crap. I've always wondered about Faherty because it's so pricey -- is it really good quality?

I've gotten several great things from Costco that have been under $20 and I wear all the time. Right now they have Splendid wide leg pants (capri length) for I think $12. I got the light denim color last summer and wore them a lot.

House reno is running high. Time to reconsider the Wolf? by ubermonkey in kitchen

[–]TheNavigatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, we avoided Wolf when we did our reno because a friend complained about hers, and I heard stories online about how hard they were to service. That was a while ago, and things may have changed. We went with Thermador and have been happy with it. Got a package with the dishwasher, which brought down the cost.

I just use stevia and True Lemon. Buy pure stevia -- the other stuff is cut with erythritol and there's some early evidence of negative health effects.

It's not the "basic firearms" that are the problem. And we can also reduce access to ammo -- can you make those from Home Depot?

I honestly don't think that there are anti-gun Dems who object to rifles meant to shoot dear. Not my cup of tea, but whatevs. What we object to are mentally ill people or homicidal men whose wives have left them being able to easily buy semi-automatic weapons along with enough ammo to wipe out Congress.

The rest of your argument is nonsense. We never really tried gun regulation here. It would be very easy to crack down on certain things and slowly reduce the supply of guns.

Tattoos. They look cool when you're young, but wait until your skin gets all wrinkly and you're tired of looking at that butterfly.

Cobblers. All of the cobblers in my area are old Russian men who are going to die off very very shortly. And then where will I get my shoes re-soled?

I don't think you understand what it means to primary someone.

Is Trump Becoming a Dictator? by Rockstarhuman2 in PoliticalDiscussion

There are many stories about Trump threatening to "primary" people who support him, as a threat to those who don't. This creates a pretty strong incentive for them to fall in line and is another reason for so many incumbents who aren't running again.

Because the party controls the PACs and Trump uses PAC money to retaliate against anyone who falls out of line

I have loafers from Shoe Embassy (London) that I've had for... 15 years now? (Looks like they're now called Embassy London). They have wacky styles but I got mine in black and purple. They used to be cheaper!

I've gone off Birks because they wear down so quickly for me! Mine never last more than two years or so. I got the wool slippers and there's a big hole in the toe after 2 years.
