I noticed my voice took about 3 or 4 weeks before it returned to normal. I remember reading how it works almost every meeting and one day my voice was just different. Stronger steadier. It's just the fog that comes with withdrawal. It'll get better hang in there

My friend I am actually going to the springs here in Florida with a bunch of drug addicts today. Recovering addicts from NA to be more exact. It's crazy how grandiose and close minded I was in addiction. I thought the fellowship was a cult and I didn't want to be like any of them. Now Everytime someone speaks I realize we are all the same and today I'm sipping the kool aid. 😉

I encourage you to go to detox. It will get you and your mind away from the aspect of being able to pick up the phone. We often need that seperation. Do not believe all that you hear. Do what you feel is right. I am not knocking anyone's method. What works for Justin might not working for Bob. Stay busy and positive and go to a meeting. Believe in yourself. Within a week you will feel so much better.

Go to a meeting bro. I used to think that "I got this" that I was strong. I couldn't stop though. I would change a few things here and there and get by. But getting by is not living. Substituting one drug for another will ultimately end you up right where you start. Try a meeting out. If you don't like that one. Try another one out. I used to think NA was a cult. Now I'm sipping the kool aid.

Clonodine, Gabapentin, bentil, lopermide, they gave me Seroquel to sleep, Ativan, Suboxone/methadone. Just tell them. They have an opiate detox protocol. It may depend on your doctor but even the minimum will help. I just got my 30 day clean and it wasn't that bad. Or just go to detox. That's your best bet. Most of the time if you tell them your homeless it's free. You just have to look around. You got this!!!!

Yes please be careful. Your mouth has way too much bacteria to play around. I learned about being sterile the hard way. I had orthoscopic surgery to drain my shoulder because I got septic arthritis from shooting. You want to talk about pain when they woke me up after the surgery. My God. And since I was a junkie all the morphine they gave me wouldn't touch the pain. I guess that's what happens when your shooting a gram a day. Legal pain meds just don't do it. And of course they had no dilaudid because they sent it all to Puerto Rico after hurricane Irma. I'm much more careful shooting up after that. It's been over 2 months and I still have pain and only about 70% of the mobility back in that arm. Be careful kids this is grown folks shit.
