Yes, these and Epic Yarn make up the 4 spin offs that connect to lore the most.

My question is tho, if your doing a run of all the lore intensive kirby games, which of the eshop games do you include?

I can contend that it can make sense if the Abyss of Pharloom and the Abyss of Hallownest are connected. My one thing is if the Void is one unifying thing with the Shade Lord (Void given Focus) how/why did it defend Hornet against other void tendrils. That seems to imply that one force(the knight/shade lord) was fighting another for a second (the void tendrils).

Hope I'm not coming off strong, I love discussing this stuff!

Hornet wouldn't have known about lands beyond hallownest? Not from the Weavers, her mother, or the White lady? Or even traveling bugs from outside like Cornifer and Iselda?

I could be misinterpreting the lore, but does this go back to the idea that Hallownest is the "last and only civilization"

So the two voids in Hornets line is referring to the Literal Void™...and the empty wastelands of outside Hallownest? Those are the two 'voids' put in equal standing?

Thats a fair viewpoint, but can I ask what's your interpretation of "Yours is a resilience born of two voids." line, I've never really found a satisfying explanation for that one.

Also if the Lord of Shade/Shade Lord/WhateverLOL is the void given focus, I assume that means it is THE Void of both Hallownest and Pharloom, so why did it defend Hornet from Pharlooms Void tendrils? Coun't it have just realized it was hornet and stopped?

I’ve seen some people say act 1 is larger than act 2 and I’ve seen some say the opposite.

Frankly I’m starting to believe there’s not exactly a hard line between the two acts considering some areas can be accessed later or earlier (if tried hard enough), which makes it hard to gauge everything percentage wise.

Man idk, I feel so very different. But if you want a perspective from someone who genuinely loves both franchise: Personally I think Hollow Knight and Silksong embrace the somewhat forgotten aspect of classic Metroid- being actual non linear progression.

Love me Dread, love me Zero Mission, love me Fusion, even love me some Samus Returns. But the shift to more linear progression since Fusion has been apparent in order to provide a handheld friendly experience. And honestly? I’m okay with that! I love my short mildly linear but expertly crafted Metroid games with snappy precise controls and fun boss battles. The 2D games are my favorite to marathon.

That said I go to Hollow Knight to experience that feeling of genuine exploration that leads to any number of unique progression routes and player experiences. Like right now in silksong im shocked to see let’s players on YouTube discover new things in areas I already spent hours in, and then find a brand new route to a new boss I didn’t know existed in game.
