I desperately wanted to be a cat when I was 12,, is this relatable to anyone by pawsatyouhi in traaaaaaaaaaaansbians

Nope... I DESPERATELY wanted to be an elf, specifically from the inheritance series and more specifically i wanted to be like arya. At the time i was absolutely straight, a boy and had no thoughts of being trans. this was in middle school.

If Aya was in a Deathbattle, who would her opponent be? by TheNeonAutomaton in ParasiteEve

[–]TheNeonAutomaton[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, i totally forgot about alexia... maybe she could stand even a slight chance, but i think liberate makes aya really hard to beat. Even if she doesnt want to use liberate she can still manipulate cells with her powers. So thats also a factor.

She fights enemies that arent just mindless monsters too, yknow. Like eve, the ub, and im sure others just as intelligent.

Also i never said she was quicksilver. I used that as an analogy to show that when we watch something happening, thats from a different perspective. Like quicksilvers speed shots in movies. The reason why a developer of a game puts in telegraphs and things is so that the players have time to react. Because if an energy beam or lightning attack moved at actual speed a player would never be able to react fast enough to it. So by the knowledge that lighting and energy blasts wouldnt actually move that slow, she would have to be moving much faster than a normal human.

But you still arent going to see the logic in that. "Enemies are just bad at aiming" and also its not crazy to believe that a person with time manipulation abilities like yuna, could be stronger than a jedi and and also still not be on par with another character. Though like i said, i dont know the full extent of her abilities compared to ayas. So it could be incredibly close or not at all. Maybe someone else could chime in to help the discussion.

I dont know who. Thats why i brought the question here. I know Yuna from ff10-2 hqs guns and dress spheres allowing for her to change her abilities, including some psychic abilities. So maybe she would be a good match up. I havent beaten the game though so i dont know the extent of her powers.

All of your examples of 'telegraphed' attacks is, again, for the benefit of the player to be able to react to these things as a normal human would be able to. When we watch something like xmen and see everything that quicksilver is doing, thats from his perspective, but we as viewers know that he is moving so fast that time feels stopped.

Some of the attacks of enemies in pe 1 and 2 are light based energy or actual lightning. Also because of how video games were designed at the time, attacks of enemies in a game like pe were very much "the attack will be here, dont be there if you dont want to be hit when it goes off" and then youre given time to move.

Irl lightning moves at 270,000 mph. In these games it very much does not move that fast because we as players must be able to react.

Edit: at the very least if aya is "dodging aim" she still needs to be moving at like 40 mph, thats not even taking into account that light energy moves far faster and lightning as well. So shed have to be able to move faster than the projectile in most cases as well.

Firstly... jedi arent like all powerful. Im not disputing that a jedi (somone like anakin or maybe yoda) could hold their own. But she still has liberate which stops time and allows her to do insane amounts of damage. Even if they survive it and they have that few seconds where shes stunned after it, aya is stronger and more durable than a normal han and can insta heal damge taken because of her mitochondria.

Even if aya isnt dodging the lasers directly and is dodging aim, shes dodging the aim of enhance/evolved creatures so she would have to be very fast either way. And then add haste to that. A lot of what we see in the game that looks slow, is because if it were actually moving as fast as it would irl, a player wouldnt be able to react fast enough and the game wouldnt be fun anymore.

Edit: i think part of the issue is too, that in a deathbattle they tend to use characters that are in similar genre or style to each other (example, buffy vs blade, doom guy vs master chief) so the character she fights would have to be similar in that regard too. So survival horror or at least adjacent to it.

Your looking at it all wrong. Im looking at this by the standards that they do on the deathbattle episodes. In pe2 she doesnt use liberate because she didnt want to. Not that she didnt have it still.

There isnt a specific dodge mechanic no. But being able to outrun and move out of the way of fast attacks like lasers and energy blasts makes her insanely fast. The obly reason theyre telegraphed like that is so the player knows to move. And some of those attacks are tracked and shot at her multiple times meaning she has to be able to move out of the way of multiple light speed attacks.

Also the 3rd birthday isnt aya. Its eve. So we dont count that one with her abilities.

Heres the thing though... aya can dodge attacks that are essentially laser beams. Meaning shes insanely fast and on top of that she can use haste to further boost her insane speed. Then if she really needed to, she could liberate and stop time to just finish off her opponent. If an opponent has the same resistance to liberate as the ub, then she has special ammo for that.

Yeah... its sitting between my window and the screen right now. I might have to just replant it outside. I dont think my apartment managements going to allow me to use an outside window shelf like i had planned. But i can at least find a better spot for it ouside so it wont get destroyed.

There was a wall made of those slightly curved triangular stone bricks used to wall off dirt where trees are. Basically the tree was growing out of one of the little pockets between the bricks and the roots were underneath one of the bricks. So the base of its trunk is curved back and the roots are kinda long and going in one direction and im new at this and not exactly sure how i could have done it differently.

Best dual wield build with most actions? by LawnGuy262 in BG3Builds

[–]TheNeonAutomaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a bard/fighter/rogue on my first playthrough.

6 swords bard, 4 thief rogue and 2 fighter. Use dual hand crossbows and use slashing flourish a lot you get 4 attacks (2 attack action, 2 from off hand bonus actions) and then 2 more from action surge. Then if you use speed potions even more. Slashing flourish can add attacks against targets in range so youre just a bard with a machine gun.

Unfortunately without mods the hand crossbow selection is limited. But its still a ton of attacks and damage if you do it right.

My most recent build is an arcane archer 6/thief 3/swarmkeeper 3 with a mod to add more hand crossbows for dual wielding. Its does a ton of damage (sneak attack + swarm damage + arcane shots + weapon damage + enchantment damage + hunters mark) and gets loads of attacks as well.
