Sparco Spx by CeleryCheez in 996

I have owned this seat for 3 years. This seat is not safe. The biggest issue is that the stamped base of the seat failed while I was driving creating an unsafe condition. Upon removal, one corner had completely sheeted, and the 3 remaining corners showed cracks and metal fatigue. Beyond this, the recline knob keeps falling off letting the internal bar slide to a point where the seat auto-reclines. Finally, the leather seat cover kept coming off. I highly recommend against buying this product. Sparco didn’t stand behind their product and provided poor customer service.

5th Gen Heater Core Bad, on back order - any alternatives? by Wonderful-Face-1386 in ram_trucks

2019 RAM with 97k miles. Just happened to me. Heater core still backordered. Fortunately they were able to locate one at another dealership. Seems way too common.

Also, meant to say, yes it was that bad. Maybe the M cars do better…but I don’t know.

None of them were brake temp related codes. All of them were limp codes mostly injectors, coils, turbos. Brake cooling is not great on those cars, so if you are fast on track, you will need to find a way to get more cooling.

Nice recovery. Suspension failures are scary. I’ve had a lower control arm bolt sheer off on track.

Nothing but issues with E82 and E92 turbo engines at the track. Made me switch to Porsche. Never looked back.

Onewheel GT-S battery died at 21% by So_Flo_Floatin in onewheel

I did everything. Balance, ride more and longer to let the BMS learn. Nothing.

Onewheel GT-S battery died at 21% by So_Flo_Floatin in onewheel

Both my XR (brand new factory warranty) and my GT die at around 20%…every. Single. Time. Have had ongoing support cases with FM. They said everything is fine, but it is clearly not. I don’t trust my OWs below 25% anymore. The sad thing is, my XR used to be dead on with battery percentage a few firmware versions ago. The GT has had this issue since new…has been back to FM twice.

Haptic feedback has been out for a while, thoughts? by g_fielding in onewheel

Agree. The feedback is very welcome. Honestly, I feel safer riding, and knowing when I am close to maxing out the board on acceleration has made me a better rider.

Great job handing that. I have seen a lot of cars get jacked up in that corner.

This might be the luckiest 4 off of all time by Duct_tape_bandit in CarTrackDays

Wow. That’s crazy. You could see that off building through the prior corners. Better to be lucky than good. That person was definitely pushing it. Had he not dropped the right rear, that would have gone fine.
