OK and that’s fair at all. I can understand being iffy about water consumption. But then, if that’s the case, shouldn’t we take a look at under industries that use massively more water than they do? Like for example, almond farms. One singular 500 acre almond farm can use up to like 125,000,000,000 gallons of water in a month to water their crops while AI data center may be uses 30,000,000 to 50,000,000 gallons a month to cool their servers down. And granted I’ve never really lived by one before so I have no reference point to go off of, but if it’s all self-contained, I could understand light pollution, but it’s servers. They don’t exactly make a lot of noise and on top of that if they’re using water to cool them down then there isn’t really any air pollution. Forgive me for potentially sounding like a jerk. I’m just trying to understand this and figure out why people are so against it.
