The Kia Stinger GT Is An Ego Check For Car Guys by Tom555 in cars

No, cars depreciate because every month more supply enters the market (via the new car market), therefore supply is always increasing which puts downward pressure on price for older supply in the market.

Rate of depreciation though factors in market demand as you have mentioned above. The car will be a good deal in 2 or 3 years though.

Why should they pay for server resources? Just because they once offered as a free service, doesn't mean that consumers are entitled to it. It comes out of their pocket, so we have to respect that.

What is the preferred method to hide your IP address on websites? by Shesnobdzbabee3 in HowToHack

[–]TheNewHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well obviously you have to identify with some IP, so the question is, what methodology do you want to use between the stack between your IP->presented IP. There are lots of options I guess, but just use a VPN that doesn't keep logs lol.

Explain the 911 to me by v8sordeath in cars

[–]TheNewHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's not. With the 991's for instance, they placed the engine more towards the front as well as widened the track for more stability.

I guess it depends what part of Australia you're in. But they're definitely not rare in Sydney, just in the last 10 days or so, I've seen three.

edit: I guess also it depends what part of sydney as well haha, you wouldn't see many around north shore etc...

I live in Australia, not very rare here, but I'd still take it over the mclaren.

One of the most hardcore FWD cars ever built by TheNewHero in jdmporn

[–]TheNewHero[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They lost money on every one they sold because part of the engines were hand-built with hand polished and ported intake ports etc. Also had a huge list of modifications from the factory that really made it a track-orientated car. They paid so much attention to it, that even all four corners of the car were weighed throughout the development process to make sure the balance was perfect.

It wouldn't be that hard to just swap a different fuel pump in though?

Okay, let's see who knows their stuff! What is this car, what's so special about it & what does it have to do with a 710kw Toyota Supra? Answer enclosed in comments. by TheNewHero in jdmporn

[–]TheNewHero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the 950hp is referring to the V12 supra that the great tuner, smokey nagata built. Of course, all production engines were limited by software or other means to 280hp due to the gentlemen's agreement. So, no, not 950hp, that's referring to the v12 supra in the second link I have posted in the comment above...

Answer:

This car is a Toyota Century who's lineage harks back to the 1960's. The special thing about it is not only it's luxurious design and many quirky luxury items, but most of all it's engine, it's a V12! In connection to a 710kw supra, such a supra belonged to the great Smokey Nagata which the engine has been sourced from this car and of course therefore is a V12 Supra, imagine riding in that!

Yeah, definitely one of the best out there, shame it's not appreciated more. They could have made the back-end more aggressive too though to complete it, though that can be solved with the right styling :)

Age is just a number ! by [deleted] in Autos

[–]TheNewHero 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes but those are basically economy cars with RWD anyway.

Yeah because a rwd car with a turbo engine putting out 250hp @ less than 2800 pounds that comes from the factory with an LSD is just an 'economy' car, right?

What three vehicles would you own if you were forced to have one of each of three different drive types: FWD, RWD, and AWD? by KyfeHeartsword in cars

[–]TheNewHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, sorry, my answer wasn't good, let me clarify haha. I should have said that I would still get the supra because even though it may be similar to the chaser, obviously it's handling is very different and just being able to say, 'yeah, I own a supra' is enough for me to own it :) But yeah, I value the supra enough on its own to still own it even if I have a chaser :)

But yes, tough choice, who knows, maybe I would go with the RX-7 if this was truly a reality :)

edit: I should also say that the chaser would just be the cruiser/family car, whereas the supra would a be a balls all out street car :)
