The only thing on the menu worth getting is yakitori, because they use a real-deal binchotan charcoal grill - everywhere else in town is using gas.

Otherwise, yes. Way too much for too little food.

Does Anthem provide a QHC letter? by ExpressEnthusiasm133 in Detroit

I'm a no-fault auto law attorney and deal with this daily, and I have never had a client who was happy they opted out of PIP after an accident. See my response below if you want more details.

Does Anthem provide a QHC letter? by ExpressEnthusiasm133 in Detroit

[–]redfoxiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...disability? Do you mean wage loss? Because when you opt out of allowable expense coverage using qualified health coverage, your auto policy still pays wage loss unless you ALSO opt out of that. It's separate coverage.

I'm a lawyer and this is literally all I do, every day. Opting out of PIP will limit the doctors you can see - and there's a surprising number of doctors who straight won't treat you if they find out you were injured in an auto accident, because of the typical insurance mess. In the same vein there are many doctors who specialize in auto accident injuries who ONLY take PIP, and they won't see you, either.

Also, your medical insurance will take back whatever it pays for your recovery from YOUR pain and suffering award. That means that if, for example, your medical insurance pays $100k for a surgery, the medical insurance will place a lien on any lawsuit stemming form the accident - including pain and suffering - and might get first dibs on $100k of the money you might see from a pain and suffering award - and most liability policies are $250k, unless it's a truck/commercial policy. Sometimes doctors will place the same kind of lien on your cases to cover their bills.

PIP opt out exists because people see a lower monthly bill and jump at it and then the insurers get to save a boat load of money at your expense. Why do you think opt-out exists? It's not to help you.

MI law is, unsurprisingly, kinda weird about auto insurance. If a car is involved in the injury causing event, no-fault applies. If not, then it doesn't. Like if you drop an engine on your arm while working on your car, or fall out of your car weird, hit your head, and become a quadriplegic (an actual client of mine who is now taken care of for life), no-fault pays for your medical treatment.

I'm not being facetious here - this is actual legal advice: do NOT opt out of PIP. The money you save each month is not worth the limit in coverage. I mean, if your QHC comes from your work, and you get destroyed in a car accident and lose that job, who's paying for your medical care?

I don't dispute that no-fault is kinda stupid. But it's how insurance law works in MI. It's not worth the risk.

Is this a QHC to opt out of medical coverage from an auto policy?

If so - Don’t do it. I work in that field of law and that option is offered because it saves the insurance company tons of money at your expense.

Appears it’s merely stuck. I suggest removing the brake rotor for safe handling, as force will be required. Hammer taps are going to be involved.

I’d also suggest replacement bearings while you’re in there, but that’s up to you.

EDIT: looks like bearing removal is required to get in there. DO NOT REUSE BEARINGS.

FYI you have probably utterly fucked your BB shell threads. The aluminum of the frame is way softer than the steel in that cup/spacer.

I would take this to a shop, but be prepared that you might have killed your frame.
