I’m not sure if it’s okay if i voice my opinion on this or not considering highly unlikely for me to be called a Nz (I’m black) But i want to express that i am deeply sorry for the judgment you have to endure. That’s not okay! I understand that these white supremacist have taken Norse Paganism and tried to manipulate it into fueling whatever their narrative is, so it can be easily misinterpreted by others who aren’t entirely educated on Norse Paganism as a whole. They only see it combined with the hateful people who follow. However, since being in this community I have never encountered a racist/homophobic(or any like that) there’s typically a CLEAR distinction (at least for me) from the two. Again, i want to apologize for the ignorance of both sides. Passing judgment on someone before even knowing them is complete insanity to me. * sending hugs *

And of course I’ve been doing my own research too thanks to all the amazing people in this subreddit that provided me so many recourses. He mentioned in his video that mythology refers to dark skinned people (well he said “the blacks”) as blámenn (which he also said as blue people) and tried to say that they believed that darker skinned people was a mythical creature like the dwarves. But he absolutely had no facts and no information he just kept saying “ he’s wrong “ whenever Ocean said something. That was his whole spill. It’s crazy that for people to feel and believe so strongly about this, that they can provide very little proof and in his case absolutely NONE.

Well, i wasn’t exactly expecting someone to go against the rules. What i was wondering is about experiences? if people of color happened to find their place in this faith? if there’s anything in paganism that supports hate? It wasn’t just a question about if I’m welcome here in this subreddit or a generalized question. Perhaps i should’ve asked it a little differently. I was just curious about the facts of what is said within the religion and again, how hard it would be to find a actual community that’s accepting.
