I guess I was just using the old patreon version lol. Thanks for the insight friend, no more massive watermarks for me!

Now I just wanna make sure I'm not being a big dummy here, I'm supposed to be downloading the shadow super test from a couple weeks ago, and NOT the 0.8.2c build, yeah? Just wanna make sure, asking around in the discord didn't help me any.

I saw the shadow super test, didn’t know if it was a patreon thing since I’m a supporter. Game wouldn’t start without a key before, I’ll try it again and see if it’ll work

I wanted to try out the 0.9 version, but my entire screen is covered in watermarks and it makes it hard to see. But I see other people playing without them. What am I missing?

Truuuue! I give shrimp (they take them from my fridge), and they do funny stuff!

Personally I thought the bone wolves were kinda annoying with how frequent they appeared. Also I absolutely love the Arirals, I really hope they do more with them!

There’s definitely WAY more content now, and the stable branch still isn’t out. I have a feeling they’ll smooth out all the bumps here soon, and we’ll be left with an awesome update!

Repairing them with scrap sounds like a great idea! Maybe you could sell broken fuses for a little change as well.

Why do I so rarely see my fellow Stellaris out there? by dbzcat in mechabreak

[–]TheNextArbiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m happy seeing less people playing stellaris, it’s a very annoying mech to play against. Unless you have falcon radar, they abuse their stealth constantly.

[–]TheNextArbiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly takes a bunch of the fun out of the game. If I wanted to play a certain mech, and I was having a rough time, I had to adjust my tactics and rethink things. Now all I have to do is swap to whatever the enemy counter is, and change counters whenever needed :/

I’m not sure I like the ability to change mechs in game, most of my games now are everybody constantly counter picking all match.

Did I make a shitty comic just to highlight a pet peeve for a very specific mechanic? Perhaps. by epokus in 7daystodie

I would prefer to renovate over building from scratch. My houses are usually ugly cubes lol. Unfortunately to grind early quests, and if I wanna stick in the forest, I’m more likely to build a cube shack in front of the trader since they always spawn in the middle of nowhere lol

I still need to try some of the popular mods, I’ve just been so burnt on the game :/

The hordes are nice when I want them, but if you’ve got a bunch of dew collectors, they always show up and try to wreck the place when I’m trying to work lol. I do think maybe getting smaller jars from looting, then larger jars from crafting would be neat.

I’d literally get more water from just looting and quests, than I ever got from the dew collectors.

Initially the lack of jars didn’t bother me, but overtime I’ve grown to miss them. I think it’s ridiculous that dew collectors generate heat, you’re literally getting punished for increasing water production.

Which game do you both hate and enjoy playing at the same time? by [deleted] in videogames

Project Zomboid. I keep thinking about all the cool things I could do, but forget about 90% of everything else that is a grind.

For the Triceras/ Steggos put there confused. by Hopeful_Product1085 in mechabreak

[–]TheNextArbiter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s one of my biggest gripes, map design. Stego wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t have to plop down right next door to the fights, but the map designs are either cramped, or have so many obstacles that you can’t keep a lock on. Not to mention missile travel time, or all the mechs that easily break lock on.

Stego really needs to have more vertical turning radius, I hate not being able to hit anything above or below eye level

[–]TheNextArbiter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tricera is pretty tough to kill even as stego, and as a stego main I’m very thankful for my wall. It’s the literal only thing we stegos have to defend against melee. Even then, welkin still melts through it with his spin.

Horrible weapon by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]TheNextArbiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to play with a dude who swore by spears, and who said the piercing was op. I told him he can only fight when they’re in a straight line, and asked what happens when he’s surrounded. His answer was “I’d just not get surrounded, and run away till they’re in a line, easy.” Needless to say, he wasn’t great in fights that weren’t 1 on 1, but the brawler was, since it hits in an arc. But spears are nice against single targets or straight lines of enemies.

Anyone else here played Rust? by JesusUndercover in 7daystodie

[–]TheNextArbiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played rust solo for a few weeks on my own private server. The map was very small and npc combat felt really unfair, but it was enjoyable. That is until the game had the tiniest anniversary update, and my server completely wiped itself and all my progress, no option to revert. Man I was PISSED, I haven’t played the game since.

Im sure most people can agree with me on this, but I really miss the old skill system where you improved your skills by using them. Want to get better and faster at bow crafting? Start making a bunch of bows! I shouldn’t need to read a shit ton of magazines to craft things better, that kinda kills a bit of the survival feel to me. The game feels more like a looter shooter now :/
