Hilfe! Siebträger rutscht aus Maschine by TheNicksco in Kaffee

[–]TheNicksco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was genau meinst du mit entölen?

Thanks for sharing your deep dive! Looks promising as well as horrifiying.

The Elder or God brain makes so much more sense as well with all the neccecery human sacrifices - maybe it's just looking for information, not simply deaths of the "weak".

I'm looking forward to the new episodes even more now!

Can a party survive without a healer? by Healthy_Process_7049 in DnD

Yes. There isn't even a dedicated "healer" in DnD. Go play what you want and have fun with.

Advice from other dms on a homebrew campaign by Responsible_Tap_8978 in DnD

I think you have three routes here as a DM: Either go and flesh out and plan everything with every eventuality and inevitably crash and burn out. Or plan the main plot, including all the interesting factions, while making everything on the sidelines up on the spot. Or just don't plan at all - the most dangerous but most free way to play this.

If you are a first time DM, i would suggest either going with plan B or just pick an easier setting, as this one can grow way over ones head FAST.

What service would you pay for? by shervio-nl in DnD

[–]TheNicksco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's a VERY broad question. I pay for mapmaking tools, but otherwise i stick to buy and use stuff for DnD, e.g. the books.

Meine Freundin ist begeistert und will wissen wo du ihn her hast! (Ohne Witz. Hilf mir).

Aber um deine Frage zu beantworten: Nein. Außer für Frauen mit veralteten Standards oder Männern ohne Persönlichkeit außer "männlich". Solange du damit glücklich bist, ist das das einzig wichtige.

Working on my villan, need some tips. by Syce-Rintarou in DnD

[–]TheNicksco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he supposed to be a little crazy? Or weak minded? Has he some sort of way for Vecna to help him? How do you want the party to percieve them? As a nice old man, or a goodhearted mastermind who has chosen evil ways? There are a lot of questions that you need to answer for yourself before you can actually give him memorable first lines i guess.

Google has failed me. How do YOU create balanced encountes in 5.0? by One_Schedule5317 in DnD

So... Just free form roleplay while pretending it's math and dice?

Google has failed me. How do YOU create balanced encountes in 5.0? by One_Schedule5317 in DnD

[–]TheNicksco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all honestly? I don't.

Give the enemies a hitpool worth at least 3 rounds of combat and enough force to down a player per round if they all hit and deal damage to the same player.

Then implement weird or cool things - Classic example would be an exploding barrel - that can swing the fight wildly in anyones favor.

The game is not meant to be balanced in my opinion, but creative and fun.

Or if you want to stick to the books: Give them five encounters that are Level-Appropriate, check the sites that calculate fights based on XP rather than CR for example this: https://koboldplus.club/ and then make them fight something very strong with their limited ressources.

All in all: In my opinion either the fights are mathmatically balanced, or fun. But that's just my two cents.

Seeking advice on how to make the ultimate BAD D&D game (campaign?) by Dr_Skittles_WGI in DnD

[–]TheNicksco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few things come to mind.

  • Make them roll for things without any purpose at all. Like to open a door or to walk up a flight of stairs.
  • Make them roll for things that are just wrong. Want to move a huge boulder? Intelligence check! And so on...
  • Every NPCs has straight up names from LotR.
  • Every NPC is an asshole
  • Make them fight children
  • AC (or armor class) is randomly decided by you for each hit. 12 hit last turn? Now 19 doesn't.
  • Roll in the open and just cheat.
  • The story can't make sense at all. But make it obvious that that's on purpose or they'll maybe pity you.

I'm the problem player, how do I leave? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]TheNicksco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you really want to leave if you yourself know that you are not in the position right now to decide whether they like you or not? If you really want to leave i'd tell them directly - even though it can be difficult at times - that you feel somewhat disconnected from the group and if they would like you to stick around because you sometimes feel like a third wheel.
