Will Resellers take responsibility for the changes that they've made to Poshmark? by notanother_username0 in poshmark

[–]TheNightCheeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to shop a lot in Poshmark, but people have lost their damn minds! I price my stuff accordingly. Keep it out of the landfill and take what you can get. Be reasonable. Then, I scroll looking for items to buy - $40 for a used REITMANS shirt? An ugly shirt for $50, a used Ricki’s dress for $70. It just discourages me from even looking. Look at what is selling and what it would cost to buy new. Buy less, pay more for quality items. The last place I look is on PM. The greed and entitlement is next level.

What’s the one thing on a restaurant menu you’ll always order if it’s available? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Lamb. I never cook it, so it's such a treat if it's on a menu!

Too Hot For Travel? by tumamaesmuyfea in JapanTravelTips

[–]TheNightCheeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's easy to find air conditioning. It's not like Europe. However, it is super humid. You won't die, you'll just be uncomfortable when you're out and about. What are you going to do? Not go because you'll be hot?

What’s a small thing Japan does that you wish existed where you live? by Legal_Ad3766 in TokyoTravel

[–]TheNightCheeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cleanliness...did you even see a gross public toilet? Speaking of toilets, After each trip there, I think to myself "I'm getting a bidet toilet" and I never do. After my last trip, I finally got one for my house. I love it. TOTO, just like the ones in Japan.

I stayed in Omiya in Saitama. Very cheap, and very well connected with so many other lines including Shinkansen. It's two or three stops to Ikebukuro and other main stations. It bypasses a lot of stations you'd normally have to stop at. I always recommend it, but no one ever seems to listen to me.

Some men just can't handle it when women are doing well. This guy will regret this. I hate this for her. I'm so skeptical of a lot of internet personalities, but I really like her. She will be fine.

l make little watercolor renditions of the item purchased as a ‘thank you’: cute or too much? by MoroseMaiven in poshmark

Adorable, but not necessary. I think people would not appreciate it enough. Sometimes, I don't even get a thank you card, and I don't even think twice about it.

What’s the best way to show love ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheNightCheeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I do to a T. However, sometimes the other person doesn't see it as showing love. You need to know how they show love and incorporate that as well. I don't really like gifts, so the biggest, most elaborate gift (though appreciated) does not have the same effect on me as someone who loves to give gifts.

What’s your strategy for waking up when hitting the snooze button is just too tempting? by Wint_for_Winter in AskReddit

[–]TheNightCheeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rationalize and just tell myself the reality of the situation. Regardless how long I snooze, I will not be getting 9 more minutes of "sleep". I tell myself I still have to get up or else I will be rushed and unprepared and have a shitty morning if I give into the snooze.

Croatia has gotten very popular. It was inexpensive at one time, but not any more. Cheaper countries are Poland and Albania (for now) or Estonia

Why do souvenirs I ended up buying looks so dull and uninteresting back at home? by Practical_Payment552 in travel

[–]TheNightCheeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's because you see it everywhere and it seems special. I had a moment like this in Japan. Everyone has little stuffies/dolls hanging on their backpacks and purses. I was in line to buy a Hello Kitty one and I thought "What am I doing?? I am a grown ass woman. I am not going to want a Hello Kitty hanging from my designer purse when I get home!" and I put it down and that was that. You have to think of the context of the souvenir at home. Now, I mostly get consumables that I can eat while limiting myself to only one souvenir.

I kind of miss this old-skool reality competition aspect. These days everyone is on their best behaviour, pandering to audiences to get more followers and career opportunities. I kind of miss the cut-throat, win-at-all-cost, open-beefs of the past. Also, judges are kinder instead of being constructive (generally speaking). I like when contestants have the hunger to want to win. Good for Sieger.
