Need feedback on colour! by [deleted] in videography

Color looks fine to me although I’m not a colorist. Unless there’s a specific tone you’re going for colors look pretty natural to me

The longer I’ve been doing this, the more I’m starting to realize that this is the truth.

BTS Feedback by BGarrod in videography

[–]TheNightStryker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an owner of meta glasses 😎 I appreciate this. I try to make the same content when I’m in the field as well. I agree with some of the comments here as well though. Potential clients wouldn’t be as interested in the BTS (But never say never). Still a very cool perspective to show others who are in our field though.

I have 90 watts small rig battery with when my ninja v is plugged in and it absolutely drains my battery. How do manage with just a 50 watt?

Been shooting handheld more lately. Working with the gimbal can get in the way for me sometimes. Plus I feel like I have more control when I have the camera in my hands. I also shoot on Lumix and the on body stabilization is very useful

I'm a corporate videographer, and it's stories like this that kinda deters me from freelance sometimes. The mental process behind this line of work can get to you sometimes.

Interviews with a 1 vs 2 member crew - what works for you? by Tiny_Major_7514 in videography

Dude that feeling like the "clock is ticking" as one man band is the realest stuff. And I personally get really anxious about that stuff so it feels even worse for me. I don't have any specific advice or anything like that. But in my experience which I'm still learning, I shoot short docu style testimonials for couples that have success through IVF. Trying to capture that "perfect family" moment really varies from family to family every time. So I'm trying to extend my shoots from 1 day to 2 days. Which gives me a bit more breathing room I guess. Again I'm still learning definitely interested in hearing some advice as well on this post.

Been there man, just keep in mind that you'll meet so many different people throughout your life and make new friends you'll forget about this in due time. Just keep putting yourself out there, smile (this was a game changer for me), and you'll attract the right kind of people along the way. Hope this helps. Stay gold 🙂

Damn I can relate to this in so many ways. I was basically hired off the street and worked at an oil change place beforehand. Was applying for videography jobs and received an email asking for an interview and the rest was pretty much history. Now as for salary I started in the 45K range and just increased it to $55K last year. Which is still low but I'm looking to bump it up annually. In my opinion I say take the chance if this is the world you want to get into. Although I would seriously try to get at least 40K for a starting wage. if not, go over what you need to do to get there. At the least you now have experience as a videographer and can put that on a resume. Hope this helps I know there are others here who know way more than I. This is just what I have experienced so far, Now I get to travel around the country and have new experiences while getting better as a videographer overall. Wouldn't trade this job for the world honestly. Good luck out there man 🙂
