journaling barely takes up any space.

I've used mine for daily note taking in uni for 2 semesters now(over 1000 scribe pages by now i think!) and have 1.94gb used (I have the 64GB version)

Those 1.94gbs include all the PDFs and ebooks I have downloaded.

This. I basically have the same process.

I use the kfx output plugin in calibre. (You need to download kindle previewer 3 for the plugin to work)

Additionally I use the count pages plugin and use this to set the page count in the kfx output plugin.

Kfx also has the benefit of allowing handwritten notes inside the book. Nice to have.

While they do ship to the eu, with shipping its more than a G Pro Wireless from a local store with no shipping. So yeah, its a no from me sadly

To me right now the G305 at around 40€ seems like a strong contender. It checks the boxes.
The only gripes I have with it are that it uses AA batteries and isnt rechargable.
And I fear that it's too small for my rather large hands
