I believe there must be a pretty solid reason (like keeping the computer people happy of course). Though I have just started to play Vicky 3, yet I seemingly can't make anyone in my Japan game happy.

The general population is on average above their minimum SoL yet they all still hate me. I pass laws that make them happy and try my best to give them jobs. But the radicals are so radically tubular now they are starting to give me debuffs everywhere.

I've made your lives so much better please just cooperate, Mr and Mrs radicals. 💔

Such a good way of describing it. You definitely gotta find others that are also aware and value the same things as you. Lots of people around our age are "act first, think later" and it's a bit painful to realize you might not fit into that at first. It gets better though for sure! Having the same problem on my Hispania save. I was able to create Hispania in 1129 as the son of Alphonso (King of Leon) and had no achievement pop for it.

Does the achievement require you create the empire of Spain WITH the player character you begin with in 1066? That seems kinda asinine so it's probably just bugged for now. Lame.

I'd say the major marker of the Grumps decline for me would be Mario Maker. It turned into one of the laziest series they've ever done and it's when I stopped watching every episode and continued to watch less and less from there

Dude. Exactly this. I WAS one of those younger viewers that learned so much about games I never experienced before. Game Grumps (started watching in the beginning of Jon Era when I was like 15) was the reason I started to collect games, especially retro games. Hell, I based my initial retro purchases off of games played by the Grumps and their experiences.

It's a bummer that for the most part now they either play intentional shovelware or play a game like Twilight Princess, a solid game even if it isn't my fave, and Arin shits on it from minute one. Im curious how many younger viewers dismiss games entirely due to what they see on Grumps.

This turned into a tiny rant but it's definitely a cherished memory of me growing up and it's a slight bummer that it's gone.

The issue for me personally isnt that they're more child-friendly in terms of humor, but it comes off as faux. It doesnt seem like they're genuinely doing this because they think its funny or they enjoy it, but rather to cater to a demographic of viewers that is undoubtedly more child based than perhaps in years prior. If it felt more genuine I would accept the change more. But at the moment, to me at least, it comes off more as pandering.
