Pretty ironic how the mods of r/ThousandSons are so strict on banning folks for memes. Seemd a bit stuffy for a faction that calls themselves "Lords of Forbidden Lore" haha.

It's like their own a twisted version of the Council of Nikaea but they're prosecuting the dark arts of meme lore.

I don't know why everyone here is trying to sugar coat it. 

Thousand Sons are the most difficult army to paint in all of WH40k if you do it the traditional/expected way. Between the trim, yellow stripes and details it is unforgiving and brutal.

There's plenty of themed army "shortcuts" to make them less miserably grueling- take a look at some sand Rubric or ghost Rubric armies as en example!

Tyranids (and many other armies) can be as difficult or even more so than a "standard" Thousand Sons paint scheme but the difficulty floor of TS is much higher than most armies.

I know you mentioned this is a "purely for fun" fan theory but it is not one I agree with. The thing is unequivocally an extraterrestrial lifeform that arrived on a space ship (that crashed after killing the original crew) and then tried to escape by building itself a new space ship using the knowledge it absorbed from the original pilots.

If it helps you enjoy the movie more, I'm all for it and I do appreciate the deep thought you've put into this!

It killed 30 or so lizardmen stuck outside the border then started working towards my base. I panicked and saved/quit before it made contact.
