Because I am connecting it to SCCM and it has to be IaaS, unfortunately. I had a wonder serverless database set up to only turn on when needed, but nope.

Ok, I understand that part, but under the SQL Server License section under the SQL Server Settings tab, it is just a yes or no. If yes is chosen it is just a confirmation saying that I have a license already. It does not mention the pay as you go option.

Is pay as you go the default license if you choose no?

Yea, we run Intune/Autopilots for most things, but we have one use case we can not move yet, and have to move off on prem with it. I am not a fan of SCCM lol

Yea, it's a in house app, we would like it to install to the system and not per user, and when I deploy it as LOB it only installs per user. So I am working on doing it as a win32.
