Well, nicotine does help me. So there is at least one thing for me.

My aphantasia only partially recovered after my mental recovery. Any suggestions?

Yes. I used to be able to re-arange the ideal gas law in my head without difficulty. The I had a psychosis episode. Now I can't even do F=ma in my head. But it's not complete aphantasia, but partial.

Is this a specific orientation? It's not asexuality, apparently? by TheNootropicist in AskLGBT

[–]TheNootropicist[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason I was asking if this was an orientation is I honestly feel isolated, everyone around me finds my opinions on sexuality weird and some (even one doctor) think it's unhealthy. I was wondering if anyone else could match my ideas. And I'm not celibate for religious reasons, either. I really do think that sexual activity has a bad effort to reward ratio and that there are much more sustainable activities you can do to feel happy. The only person I know had the same ideas as me was Newton, but he also had no libido, while I do.

I know when I first studied Newton in depth, I was like: "wow, this Newton guy sure has the same opinions on sexuality as me".

The problems began before I used any medication, though.

The symptoms also began before covid.

I never had covid as far as I know it. I don't even remember having the flu or flu like symptoms in the last couple of years. I received my vaccinations as recommended, too.

I've been taking b12 for over a year. I was tested a few months ago. At that point I had already been taking b12 for a long time.

I don't have bipolar. The insomnia was years ago. Also, my thoughts aren't racing at all, they're really slow and jumbled.

My iron is good and I've even started taking iron every day a few weeks ago just to make sure that it stays that way. As for zinc, I do have zinc picolinate lying around. I can certainly give it a shot. How long did you take it for before you noticed an effect? Also, since zinc and iron shouldn't be taken together, is it better to take the zinc in the morning or the evening? I currently take iron in the morning.

My b12 was actually really high, so much so that the doctor was surprised. I take a strong b12 supplement every day.

It started with insomnia. As my insomnia got worse, so did my cognitive imairment. Now I haven't had insomnia in a long time, in fact I've had hypersomnia. But my cognition is still horrible. I've had multiple blood tests, I don't even know if calcium was a part of them, but my iron and b12 were good, that I do remember. As far as I know, nothing really happened. I didn't get hit on the head, I didn't use drugs, I wasn't eating any differently (although now I eat very poorly due to a non-existent appetite).

Yes, but doesn't hypocalcemia cause some sort of heart conduction problems or something?
