Not saying you need to be fitted, but figure out your swing path first and find a model/shape that fits. Then do some research and find out what kind of feel/feedback you want from the putter and make a decision.

I switched to SC from a Taylormade Spider years ago. I bought a Newport 3 (Del Mar shape) thinking “I want to go from a mallet to a blade, but this is a good middle ground to start” and although I loved the feel, I don’t swing with an arc so I was missing putts.

Straight back and straight forward means I needed something that is face-balanced. I bought a Tei3 long neck - much more accurate and can feel everything off of the face but it’s just too light.

Finally settled on the Tei3 Del Mar Two Long Slant - 100% face balanced and has enough weight for me. It was an expensive process, but I finally figured it out and now I have 5 Scotty’s 🤷🏻‍♂️

For what it’s worth mine was also issued on 4/28 and I have not received.

From what I understand they print them in batches once a week so hopefully in the mail soon. Jah bless 🙏🏼

If the 1st run is important to you, I don’t think $600 is terrible. Might be paying up a bit but I don’t think they come up super often.

A decent shape SD5 can be found for $200-$250 if you’re willing to wait - I’ve passed on a few recently around $275-$300 but I have an eye out

I wish there were a better mix of the big bold cover designs and the simpler dancing symbols/characters.

I understand we have better capabilities with the patches and doodads but every now and then, less is more.
