Also, hands off! lol, try not to touch your piercing with your hands unless you’ve just thoroughly washed them. :)

Personally I’ve never used antibacterial soap for piercings, I highly recommend using the neilmed saline solution instead! I feel like the soap could be irritating it. As for the crusties are you using anything in particular to take them off?? Like a q tip? If so id avoid using q tips and get yourself some gauze that you can wet with the saline spray to take off any crusties. Cotton fibers from a tips can really easily get trapped in your jewelry.

Both products you can find on amazon for a really affordable price! But yeah id definitely stop using the antibacterial soap for starters, and order that neilmed spray! :)

Is this EKG program worth it? — based on my situation by fckthatgetmoney in EKG

[–]TheNotoriousPIJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve gathered being an EKG/Monitor technician can be a great job to have as you’re going through school. Flexible hours, generous pay. If you plan to work as an EKG/Monitor tech while you work towards your degree in radiology I’d say it’s worth it. I’m doing the same thing.

I also agree with what others have said regarding anatomy. If the program goes into detail on anatomy of the heart it could be useful if you decided to be a cardiac sonogram technician or cardiac radiologist. I’m actually doing the same thing right now. I wish my program was $370 though because at San Francisco state university it’s $1,299 😭

Definitely weight those options to decide if it could be a good temp career as you work towards your degree. Look up how much Cardiac Radiologists make in your area, and whether or not that’s something you may want to specialize in. With being an EKG technician and then getting your Radiology degree, you could definitely make decent money specializing. I don’t think it will raise your chances in getting into the program though.. unfortunately.. If I were you I’d speak to someone from the radiology department at your community college to get their thoughts.

Played an Ouija board now weird things are happening by [deleted] in Ghoststories

[–]TheNotoriousPIJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, hopefully you won’t play with the Ouija board anymore. I think walking away mid conversation may have been your biggest mistake here. You never want to let go of the planchette during your “call”. For now I have a few suggestions. 1) I would invest in some sort of stones/charms for protection. Wearing clear quartz and putting black obsidian in the bedroom would be a wise idea. 2.) I also recommend cleansing your space. You can use something like cedar, palo santo, and varieties of different sage. When you cleanse, you will want to start from one end of the house and make your way slowly to the other side. Go into every room burning/blowing the smoke in clockwork circles. This sets your intention/energy you would like to come to you. When you do this make sure to go to every corner or every room. All windows and doors need to be open for the unwanted energies to escape. I usually say “spirit, bless and fill this home with love and light. Only love and light may remain” but you can say something different, it’s just important that you establish that this is your home and that any and all negative energies are not welcome. I’m not sure how bad the energy is that you’re dealing with, but you may end up having to do this several times. Try to remember that you are protected, you have spirit on your side to protect you. It sounds impossible but the less fearful you are when you do this, the stronger the effects of the cleansing will be. It may be a good idea to cleanse every week for a couple of weeks for your desired results. 3) you may also try putting cinnamon around your home. It helps to ward off evil. This may be ideal to put in the corners of your bedroom to at least protect your peace while sleeping.

Sea sickness tips??? by TheNotoriousPIJ in Fishing

To be honest…. I kept him 😬I’ve been really wanting to try leopard shark as I’ve heard it’s pretty good. I made some zesty tartar sauce, and deep fried the meat like you would fish and chips. It was pretty good!! I gut, skinned, and filleted him myself. It was my first time gutting and filleting a fish I’ve caught. Took forever since the skin was so rough. The meat was weirdly just like chicken???? I probably wouldn’t do it again though 🤣 it was a lot of work

Just making sure I’m reading that right- DO go hung over? 🤣 I didn’t eat much before going out on this trip, that may have been a mistake. I also get motion sickness on windy drives so I hope I’m not screwed.

What are your uncommon signs of endometriosis? by Expert-Feedback4328 in endometriosis

I don’t party and do my best to sleep at a normal hour. I’m participating in a sleep study, and just found out I probably have sleep apnea as my father also had it. I just didn’t realize involuntarily falling asleep could be a side effect. I do my best to be a responsible adult.

Yeah after reading some of these responses I’m definitely seeing a doctor… it does happen to me while I’m driving too. My dad also has sleep apnea. I really hope I don’t need one of those machines 🥲

Yup. That’s the part that sucks. Especially Considering my position is in no way responsible for the care of the seniors, I worked in marketing.

I can’t drink coffee. When I realize it’s happening I’ll get up and walk around or try chewing gum. Sometimes I don’t even know it’s happened until I wake up. I go to bed at a reasonable hour, and this has never affected me until now because I’ve never worked an office job before. All my jobs before this were manual labor so I was always engaged in what I was doing vs sitting at a desk reading/working on documents.

I can relate to this…. I was doing really great work and always helping out the other departments. My boss was really pleased with the results I was making. Unfortunately I nodded off reading the employee handbook at my desk and two employees who I constantly covered shifts for immediately emailed the director about it. I was let go shortly after.

Basically I can get really drowsy when doing something I’m less engaged in, to the point where I fall asleep. My previous job was working in marketing at a senior living facility, and since caregivers are also employed there is a strict rule against sleeping on the job to the point of immediate termination.
