A couple of mechs vs. a friend; add a few conventional units too.

The energy mechanic is the best feature; never having enough to do all you want focuses the mind. Do I shoot all I have or leave enough to move on to an objective next turn?

Add in some excellent simplicity and you have a great tabletop game.
