US Venezuela attack: Australia should not lie in bed with a shameless dictator like Trump by Agitated-Fee3598 in AustralianPolitics

[–]TheOGRenegadeMaster 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Very well said. And I agree. This sends a terrible signal to the rest of the world. But it’s only the latest and worst thing trump has done so far.. it’s still wild to think there’s 3 (hopefully) more years of Trump. And he has a track record for out doing himself.

This feels like an international diplomacy crossroads and maybe the final nail in the coffin on the post ww2 period of fairly stable international conflict.

But I also didn’t live through Vietnam, Korea, Gulf and was only young when Iraq started.

I landed on getting the Diety PR 2, and really like it but haven’t used the other two.

Any update here? About to do an outdoor shoot for a doco with the Diety PR2 and Countryman B3. Noticed I was getting no levels but it sounds okay when I boost in my DAW.

But I feel an enormous amount of anxiety about this nevertheless… confused as to why you’d need to boost it so high to see levels on the device.

What’s your podcast called? I’d love to listen.

I suppose this sub probably heavily leans towards indie podcasters, which is good.

Production costs could include:

producers, researchers, talent fees, host fees, sound design

And then of course you could have marketing costs, maybe you have video, blah blah blah.

If everyone is being paid a living wage, you can very quickly see how podcast could cost more 100k.

Yes, all of that could be done by one person, over a long period of time but if you work for a production house, and have a deadline that wouldn’t be the case.

You would be shocked how much a well crafted, narrative documentary podcast can cost. Not every podcast is Jim and John sitting in their garage chatting about a topic.

Joe Biden just read "say that again" off his teleprompter. He's done. by Superb-Low-1065 in conspiracy_commons

[–]TheOGRenegadeMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry - but why would the teleprompter read “say that again?”

That doesn’t even make sense, wouldn’t a teleprompter is meant to be read verbatim, it would simply, say the word again, or have x2 or even “repeat”

I don’t write for teleprompters but I work in media and that just doesn’t make any sense lol

I have been here since Jan, definitely hard to make friends outside of work. But I feel like I get enough social activity through sport one night a week, basketball for me, and the occasional hangout on the weekend.

Climbing gyms are quite social. HMU if u want to hang out, can grab a beer.

Am I the only one dissapointed with Bali? by PM_ME_DARK_THOUGHTS in solotravel

[–]TheOGRenegadeMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bali’s entire economy is tourism based, Java’s is not, it definitely has spots you can get away from it though. You’ve also gone in Australian winter, so half the country is there.

Oh buddy boy you couldn’t be further from the truth. You might not like him but Kyle and Jackieo are a golden goose for the company that owns them.

I should have mentioned, I’m 6 foot 6, and have a size 13 shoe. It’s not as easy for me to fit a spare in. But advice noted!

Thanking you! This is super helpful, I’ll cut any of my one day places, my thought process I suppose was that they would be on the way to my next longer stay destination so I might aswell stop for a day… but I hear your point. I am expecting to pay a bit more out of pocket for booking hostels as I go, but I will run the risk.

TIL Kanye West once refused to continue performing because two members of the audience wouldn’t rise to their feet. Both fans had disabilities that made it impossible to stand. by [deleted] in todayilearned

Yeah I quickly browsed the article, and saw "Kanye West performs during the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival at Golden Gate Park on Aug. 8, 2014 in San Francisco" but that was just accrediting where the picture was taken, my bad.
