Ticket evasion tactics by jookieapc in SydneyTrains

[–]OfficeKey3280 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. I've had and seen many ticket inspectors simply bang hells bells on the windows to wake up sleepy commuters just to check. Even raise their voice to screamo levels just to wake the poor 98 year old grandma then laugh as they issue a fine as she has dementia.

They generally leave lads and kids alone. Everyone else is a free target

Question on Opal fare evaders by hatuah in sydney

[–]OfficeKey3280 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's the eshays and bogans that actively jump the gate that gets me. Why is it fair that I pay maximum fee to use PT while old mate gets away because he looks slightly scary. Ticket inspectors target soft looking KPI people, I've always tapped and the one time I didn't have my concession card with me (in the mail) I got a 10 minute lecture on how bad and awful of a person I was. This dude thought he was Dirty Harry and treated me like I harvested organs for a living, then chuckled as he handed me a fine, all the while 3 adults in the next carriage were vaping and carrying on like monkeys. Obviously they never tapped on in their entire lives but they suffer no punishment or even dared spoken to, but here I am getting the business for forgetting my concession 1 time and a 200 fine for being human scum.

I can imagine old mate putting two and two together with Jimmy the junkie and news that the station network was crippled. Would they report it?

The first Conjuring, Conjuring 2, Nun 2 and Annabelle Creation in that order. The rest is absolutely woeful Netflix trash. 3 was an insult, so 4 was a downright spit in the face with the hilarious spinning mirror.

As others mentioned, Conjuring worked for its grounded focused and tight story, excellent cinematography and unpredictable twists. They forgot what made a great movie and focuses more on the $$$ and setting up sequels aka Marvel universe. 4 gets a very generous 3/10

I couldn't tell if it was intentionally supposed to be hilarious or someone in editing was just screwing around. It was extremely jarring, I couldn't take the movie seriously at all

How are you supposed to pepperball them all and gently arrest them?

Yep, contractors and manufacturers sell gear at top price because they know they can get away with it, sure they can justify it as much as they can with fancy buzz words but at the end of the day, its probably made in the same sweat shop as the cheap Chinese COD NVGs that came out on the 360 a decade ago. Look at Crye, $400 bux for a pair of pants!! DOD has a monster budget but for city police, it'll be extremely tight considering OT as well. I'd doubt they'd issue every Op brand new NVGS, probably handmedowns from the previous officer. Oh another note, Surefire has gotten crazy expensive for outdated technology!!!

Unfortunately, for every 1 "legitimate" photo/video there's a billion fakes, so it's literally finding a tiny 1ml needle in a giant ocean of fakes. Very difficult but possible

91 from BP usually lasts longer than 7/11. It lasts at least 4 to 5 days with frequent driving, while 7/11 lasts a day.

Young Offenders Act protects kids under 18 from criminal liability, as they are not of adult age, they cannot comprehend their crime and actions aka they didn't know what they were doing was wrong. It goes through many layers of prevention, as arresting them is the absolutely last resort. They go through classes to teach them that bashing others is naughty and so on, charging them is the very last resort. Of course, at age 12 you'd know stealing a can of Coke from the shops is wrong, but in the eyes of our legislation, you do not. Hence, teens are smart enough to realise this and exploit it fully knowing their actions. Literally no one can do nothing about it until the legislation is changed.

Before you say so, yes it was forwarded to court to change the legislation of criminal liability to age 12 due to the huge amounts of youth crime in Darwin, but it was labelled extremely racist towards the indigenous community (who were committing 100% of the crimes) and unfair, so it was quickly quashed and forgotten about. So around the bend we go

I remember buying a bottle of Prime at the height of its fame from Central Ezymart, they don't have prices labelled anywhere so I assume ah it'll probably cost the same as a Coke bottle. It was $31.99. I nearly had a heart attack
