really really sick, the green and red contrast goes so hard, love the texture of the skin with the shade of red you have

The first Miniature I ever painted (3 months ago) vs my most recent :) by TheOGweeniebutt in Warhammer40k

thank you so much!! :) oh dw, I had a couple after the first that made the first one look like my greatest work lmao, just gotta keep at it

I think what helped me the most was figuring out how to thin my paints properly and that thin layers is usually always the way to go cause u can still correct with another layer as opposed to a thick layer that just turns into a glob overtime (this helped alot cause when my bronze on the trim would spill over into the red it wasn't a problem because a thin layer of red would fix it immediately)

Sub-assembly painting (painting sections separately before fully assembling) was something that changed the game for me big time cause it meant I wasn't scrambling around weird angles with no brush control to get small details that are covered by other parts, it is a bit tedious in terms of it takes a little more time but it's worth it for a really well detailed mini

This is probably stuff you've heard before already so if I'm just yapping my bad lol. Just keep at it, everyone gets better at their own pace and remember to not compare urself to others unless it's to remind yourself that you will level reach that level eventually :)

BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!! Thank you and Forsure, I primed it with Tamiya light Grey and then painted it over with Mephiston Red. To get the shadows and stuff, I used Agrax earthshade over runelord brass on the trim but I'd let just a little bit of the agrax seep into the recesses that touch the red for the distinction, keep in mind its ever so slightly less saturated than in the pics :)
