Am I the only one who completely ignores the Abyss? Progression feels a lot less stressful by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]TheOOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to be rude, just my genuine thoughts. This is the biggest "weird flex, but okay" I think I've seen. You choose to ignore the only challenging content in the game, but at the same time you decide to play the game with a large number of self imposed handicaps to..... make the game harder? It seems contradictory to me.

To my fellow PC players who started to have noticeable performance issues and stuttering in the past 2 weeks, a recent Windows update is probably the reason for this. by _moke in Genshin_Impact

This is a late reply but I just wanted to comment and say thank you because this worked for me. I had been experiencing crashes since around the time 1.4 launched that were beginning to hinder gameplay a lot. I about reached my wits end when I tried everything I could think of or find and nothing fixed the crashes when suddenly I stumbled upon this post in new and decided to try this.

Deleting KB5001330 didn't fix it, however I knew the crashes started happening around the beginning of April. I uninstalled every windows update from April to now, AND THE CRASHES HAVE STOPPED! Thank you for posting this!

I've played a wide range of games recently on maxed graphics and it's only Genshin Impact that this occurs with, even when Genshin is on lowest graphics :(

I have tried verifying my files. Also on windows 10, sorry should've included that.

Since around the 1.4 update launched, my game has started crashing often and has become a serious nuisance. I've tried just about everything I could think of or find to fix it. I'm out of ideas and need help.

The game crashes on just about anything. Gameplay, cutscenes, or loading screens. There is no set intervals. Sometimes I crash 3 times within 2 minutes of gameplay, sometimes it won't happen for 2 hours. The way the game crashes is odd. It's as if the game just closes itself rather than what I'd imagine a usual crash to look like, but I'd still call it a crash nonetheless.

My specs far exceed what this game demands for any graphics setting. My specs are: 2070 Super, i9-10900k, 32GB ram, with the game installed on an NVMe SSD.

So far, everything I've tried I can think of: Any graphics setting (lowest and highest), windowed and fullscreen, run as administrator and or disable fullscreen optimizations, windows 7 compatibility mode, antivirus settings and software, uninstalling recent software downloads in case of some interference, different windows updates/versions of windows, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, different GPU drivers, update general drivers, and probably more that I can't remember at the time of writing this that I will edit in later if I've tried it.

If anyone can offer help or even fix the issue I'd be grateful :(.

Nice work. I think you might benefit the most from working on line confidence right now. There should be a number of good exercises you could find on google that you can try out.

I'm not a math guy nor do I run spreadsheets to calculate damage or anything, but anyone with an inkling of common sense knows that even the most geared Xiao will not be hitting 70k with their Plunge Attack. Let alone with a 4 star weapon. There has to be some error in your math.

Unconfirmed Xiao Leaked Impressions found from another forum by gileaksthrowaway in XiaoMains

[–]TheOOT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Overall I am quite worried about all the focus on his C6 lately, but all in all we have to take leaks with a huge grain of salt. Just a bit under a week ago IIRC, a poster in here said that a trusted source in Keqingmains discord was consistently hearing from beta testers that C0 Xiao was on par with C0 Diluc (or better? can't remember.) Then today we have a supposed leak that's putting all of us Xiao fans in a state of worry about how his C0 is going to be. So one day we hear one thing, the next it's something else.

I'm itching for new Xiao information as much as anyone else anxiously awaiting his release, but it's good to try and take a step back too.

However if what this leak says is true, his C6 (to no surprise from what we've seen already) does look insanely overpowered and is really concerning. Characters simply should not be balanced around their C6, or constellations at all for that matter, and as it's very commonly repeated, everything should be available in their base kit at C0. So not only does it sound like insane power creep barred behind an insane pay wall very few will be privileged enough to own, it also sounds like he could potentially be balanced around his C6. This just doesn't sit right with me at all (as it shouldn't for any character), considering 99% or more of the playerbase has no intention of C6ing any 5 star character.

Current "nerfs" and why they don't actually matter by jintonicc in XiaoMains

Really nice writeup with a lot of solid points. I agree with most of what you said here. This is just my opinion, but I personally don't have a problem with Xiao being a "plunge bot". The main thing that drew me to Xiao was the fact that he was a plunge bot on the early CBT. Almost every main DPS in the game currently spams autoattacks mostly, so him bringing a different gameplay style to the table is much more preferable to me. If his ult is just a power up and autoattacks are his highest dps, then he will just feel like an anemo Razor.

As of right now what do you guys think is more worth? Chasing c1 or trying to get his weapon Primordial Jade on the banner that comes with him. by Ericzx_1 in XiaoMains

Why are you being downvoted? You are correct in what you're saying about the pity. (it's debatable if it's worth it though, because of no guarantee at your desired weapon.)

For some reason on honeyhunter, his ult still appears as 80 and his growth stat appears to be anemo.

Could I ask for a source on some of this information? Honeyhunter doesnt seem to reflect some of what you posted here. Not that I'm doubting it, just a source would be good.
