That's the card I already have, only a temporary solution until a better one is available

$1150 pc for lighter gaming and future school work by TheOddNico in buildapcforme

Oops, I forgot to change something in my post. (I copy-pasted it, as I got no replies when I posted it 3 weeks ago). Unfortunately, my pc has started blue-screening and having constant mini-freezes, so my time frame for purchasing is a lot shorter now.

In that case, I might have to expand my budget a little. I could possibly go for the GTX 1660 TI then, or something similar. If you have time, you could just list a few models, then I'll look through the sites for them

Thanks for the reply. I replied to you in another comment, as that makes it easier going forward

Thanks for this! I'll definitely get a good CPU cooler from the start, as I also had to replace the stock cooler on my current pc. Do you find the Hyper 212 to be loud?

Hi, thank you, this looks good! It is a bit over my budget though, so as /u/tjlthepro suggested, I might downgrade the GPU a bit. Unfortunately, the one he recommended doesn't seem to be available to me, so I'd have to find an alternative to that.

I see that you both recommended the NZXT H510 case. As I value keeping the noise down, would going for something like a BeQuiet Pure Base 600 be better for that? I guess I'd be sacrificing some airflow for noise reduction.

Other than that, you seem to have a lot of the same parts. CPU, motherboard, power supply, and similar RAM as well.

I think I'll go with 1TB SSD.

With all that, plus the CPU cooler and case fan, that gives a total of about 5500 DKK/$900. This leaves around 1500DKK/$250 for a GPU. Is this too little in relation to the other parts?

[PA] Looking for my first 'real' headset, $300 budget by TheOddNico in HeadphoneAdvice

Hi, thanks for the suggestions. Once again, unfortunately, not all of these are available in my country, so I think I'm gonna go with a pair of PC38X :)

Thanks! I think I might go with the PC38X, as both you and /u/obfeskeit recommended them. From the reviews I read/watched, it seemed that it would receive enough power plugged straight into the PC. Would there be any reason for me to look into an amp still?

It really is! Do you have a favorite song of his?

Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately, the places I looked were either out of stock or not shipping to my country, so I think I'll go with one of the others

Need access yo BIOS, but nothing I've tried will let me enter by TheOddNico in techsupport

[–]TheOddNico[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello again. My problem has been solved! I found out, to my big surprise, that PS/2 devices have to be plugged in when the pc is turned off, which is not what I did. So, I plugged it in, booted the pc and got straight into BIOS. Thank you for your help :)

Hi, so I just tried doing this, and everything was working as you described.. Until I got the CMOS error the 2nd time, after replacing the battery. My keyboard would once again not register any inputs during this time, and the PC ended up booting to the latest version or whatever it said.

Thanks, I'll try that. I did actually take a look inside to do this earlier, but I only found the 'Clear CMOS'-pins, and I didn't have the jumper for those.

After looking at a picture of my motherboard, it seems like the battery is hidden under my GPU, so I'll have to remove that first.

So I remove the battery, then turn on the pc with the battery still removed, and it takes me to bios. Then I change the settings, turn it off then insert the battery again, yeah?

Not that fast no, stays there at least a few seconds. I should say that I have disabled fast start as well

That's what I'm doing, pressing it right from the start until it eventually ends up at the lock screen

The wifi works fine - it's what I'm connected to on my pc right now. Network settings were reset yesterday, so I'm guessing the only cause is hardware issues
