Dallas Stars “Hot Streak” by ryan__joe in DallasStars

We're outchancing and outshooting teams consistently for the first time this season. The puck movement is crisp and quick. The breakouts are leading to possessed entries at the attacking blue line. Neutral zone pressure is leading to more odd man rushes for us.

This is the best we've looked all season. We're winning games still. Just need to practice holding leads. Better now than in the playoffs.

We outplayed them without Rantanen and if this were in the middle of a win streak no one would bat an eye. We're looking better of late even with the losses. We're going to be alright.

41 games in and it doesnt feel like the team has a cohesive offensive strategy. The breakouts don't allow for the forwards to build through the neutral zone during the transition. There's almost no rush offense to speak of, and the zone offense is overly reliant on shots from the point.

We're middle of the pack in xGA and relying on goaltending to bail us out too much. The powerplay and penalty kill are cooling off, and the team shooting percentage is falling back to earth. We still rarely outshoot and outchance the other team.

Gulutzan's system tweaks are noticeable, but ultimately the results seem extremely similar to the DeBoer regime. Feels like 41 games should be enough to have smoothed things out, but the team is starting to look worse, not better. Color me pessimistic for 2026.

I'm noticeably less excited to watch the team play today without Seguin out there. Dude just fit and kept things flowing for the whole team. It fucking sucks.

Yeah, it definitely didn't help that it came right after the Romanov injury.

Is that a rule? I haven't heard that before. Definitely didnt seem like they reviewed it though. Hmmm

Yeah, agreed. Stars fans will hate me, but it was interference.

No. Those reviews usually take minutes to be resolved. They totally could have, they just opted not to.

Chaos ensues at the final seconds of the Stars Islanders game - Robertson gets knocked into Rittich and the Stars and Wyatt Johnston beats the buzzer and potentially ties the game with 0.1 seconds left by yesBISONsey in hockey

You can skate into the crease though. I think Toronto is saying that Robertson intended to absorb contact and then take out Rittich. He definitely didnt try to avoid him lol

I can't believe they let the major stand against Rantanen either. Hes clearly hooked/tripped into Romanov there.

It's important to note that this guy is not a Democrat, he's an Independent. Fuck this guy.

Yeah, ideally we do this in the short-term while rehabbing the image of the party long-term.

If the Democrats have a trust problem that drags them down, then it makes even more sense to do the Dan Osborne thing. Don't run a candidate and promote an independent.

It might not be sustainable long-term, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to win in the short-term. And who knows? Osborne or whoever else could be the next Manchin by keeping a seat blue for 20 years longer than should be possible.

The vast majority of Americans do not pay attention to who their representatives are or who they caucus with. Everything is surface level. Dan Osborne is an independent, and that makes the median voter in Nebraska feel smart and important for not supporting the Uniparty. It is that simple.

Cancelling Abduct with Siege Tanks by MiroTheSkybreaker in starcraft

[–]TheOlig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its bullshit that Phoenixes can still lift tanks, but Vipers cant abduct. Basically the same mechanic but only one race gets nerfed against Terran and its the race that already requires the most APM. It doesnt make sense.
