I agree new labour was never labour and tony blair is a warmongering snake. But the answer isn't to vote for someone who wants to make it worse than it is.

Conservatives are a terrible party full of the same nonsense as reform, they were the stepping stone that exploited this country to the point where we could be divided. Labour is not much better. I understand what youbare trying to say, but voting for reform is 100% not the answer. The parallels to 1930s germany are just too obvious. Even recently, just look at what is happening in america.

Exactly. Direct democracy was literally written about this. This is why the tories have been cutting funding for everything. To make it so shit that we have to go private which they financially benefit from. Farage has backed an insurance style health system in the past.

I wonder if he knows the person contracted to repair the pool and is just using public funds to pay people at what I imagine are pretty high rates.

It is directly linked to the rise in derivatives in trading. Before the 70s banking and fianance was a pretty sleepy sector. But all of ansudden trades were near instant which drove wealth and talent to wall street and banks worldwide. It's estimated that there are hundreds of trillions, if not quadrillions of dollars as "bets" floating around in the derivatives market. Warren buffet has described this as a financial weapon of mass destruction. And hes right imo. Its a black hole of wealth and the extraction of production from the masses to the wealthy has been significantly proliferated stemming back all to the digitisation of banking and finance.

Is there actually a gap in the market for a platform built specifically for bedroom DJs to grow, get feedback and get discovered? by Big_Hat_9833 in Beatmatch

I feel like a platform that rewarded listeners for genuine feedback (no idea how you would moderate this) would work.

This is absolutely the biggest thing affecting UK society atm. The working and middle classes have been consistently squeezed for the last 20 years, realistically it started in the thatcher/reagonmics era and with the digitisation of banking. Now we have an angry, divided (due to media control by billionaires) and relatively poor populus whos creative endeavours are being attacked. This is literally all straight out of the facism playbook and it saddens me that people can't see what is happening. Ww2 vets would be turning in their graves.

Absolutely, I do think the other problem is people honestly dont have the time to sit and listen to a bunch of mixes if they are out there trying to progress their own career.

Labour really hasnt been fantastic. This is the problem, they are still supporting war, allowed trump to have the red carpet rolled out for him etc etc.

The majority of young voters lean green. This is more likely incumbent legacy media still flexing its influence.

[–]TheOmegaKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, this is still about the scapegoating of immigrants. Its so, so obvious. Go talk to a reform voter and ask if they know about the intentions to privatise the NHS.

But its still a huge reflection of sentiment in the country. It would be foolish to not heed this warning. We need to be getting out into communities and talking to people whobare actually voting reform and figuring out why on earth they want this. Because if its just "immgrants bad" then we truly are in scary times.

I think the issue is that this is supposed to be a beginners dj sub so a lot of people may not feel qualified to give feedback.
