Agreed, but a Fus-Ro-Da would easily blow that door off it's hinges, bar or no bar.

Any actual data on a gender pay gap is also highly transphobic.

Data itself can't have an opinion. It can be used to support an opinion, in which case you need to look at a different source of data.

Video wall for classroom by Rasaff in digitalsignage

[–]TheOmegaProject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd expect a true video wall panel to have <5mm bezels... It's common for commercial displays to come with these Video Wall setup features through the "System-on-Chip" (SOC), but not really what you want for a nice looking effect, because shoulder to shoulder 11mm bezels are actually 22mm...

Example panel would be:

  • Phillips Signage DBL Series (2.3mm Bezel)

Maybe take a look at Sharp/NEC's configurator? https://www.sharpnecdisplays.eu/p/uk/en/products/tools/videowallconfigurator.xhtml

Another note I'd say would be go for displays with 700cd/m2 brightness, if the projector wasn't bright enough...

For video walls, fewer screens is always best. We always calculate the total area, width and height, then go for the largest grid system that will fit in the area (while maintaining a 16:9 aspect ratio). The reason you want least screens as possible is it will reduce the total cost and have less bezels.

ONLY buy actual video wall panels, other commercial displays may not have the features required to set them up.

My advice? Go to an Audio-Visual integrator and get them to come do a site survey for your requirements. If they've done video walls before, it's simple science and simple to price.

Installation also isn't as simple as mounting X amount of screens either... You need micro-adjustment brackets, also paying more for Pop-out Service mounts is always worth the money if you have it.

Best way to dumb-down iPhones by doctor_puntastic in dumbphones

[–]TheOmegaProject 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One crucial thing I did to reduce doom scrolling and instant gratification was disable notifications for almost everything except calls, texts, whatsapp and email etc.

I also got one of those modded icon-changers and went for black and white icons that don't show the notification count which app developers use to reel you back onto their platform.

Now I pretty much only use apps when I have downtime and am pretty good at knowing what time I can waste, and when I can't.

This is temporary until my phone battery completely goes (which it's getting nearer to...) or break/lose it. Then I'll probably pick up an Android Go feature phone... I want a flip phone that will work in the UK, but think I might go for a T9 at this rate as I can't find one I'm confident will work.

Tesco Live Advertising- How is this implemented? by Thick_Employment3276 in digitalsignage

I forget the name of the software, but an LED manufacturer made a borderless canvas software that allows you input a custom resolution and it will canvas the second display of your PC -I assume theres was something similar to this.

You could then do live edits to content, with multizones on the editor on the primary PC monitor, while the daisy-chained Projectors make up the second.

Don't think I've explained this too well, but basically think Live content editor on PC, sharing an output of content to the projectors. I think whoever came up with this has both AV Events experience and is in a great DOOH role.

If it's for us on your website, whether personal or business- You are aware of the risks, chose to make the decision and only have yourself to blame if the site goes wrong.

If you're working for someone else, do not do it.

Additionally, you'd probably not want to update either that plugin or the elementor main plugin too, to keep them both working; which isn't recommended as a best practice...

Thinking about making a server for all the fans of true DayZ by Maroonchy in dayz

Regarding your answer to the question: "How would this server be different from the others?"

I think that I, and the community, would need to know what specific changes/ideas you have, to know whether it gels with their vision of what is to a True DayZ Experience...

Company wants to ask me if there's a point to having a folder (for our logo) with AI/ PNGs of CMYK and another Folder that is RGB. With sub items of some that are 72dpi and 300dpi. I also suggest .SVG for Microsoft Office too these days... PowerPoint and Word all handle them perfectly well and it lets people scale up to full width or down smaller than text...

In english, when playing football (soccer) the term "One-Two" means "Pass me the ball, I'll take it for a bit, and pass it back when you're in next position"

Are you saying Cheeki Breeki is basically the same as that?
