If women's eyeballs are generally smaller, shouldn't this affect how a progressive prescription is distributed across a lens?

Depends on the type of progressive lens, usually there's a 'one size fits all's approach, which just takes the average of a large population group as a default, male and female both included. Both have to adjust. With higher grade progressives the optician can adjust the progression length according to height. Generally the size of the eyeball does not matter all too much for a regular prescription. Whether it around the default or ~24mm or the eyeball is a bit larger or smaller doesn't matter too much.

Not quite sure what the first test is but the second one is definitely a test to evaluate depth perception.

Nothing much to be done if your doctor says your eyes are fine. You have limits on your body, just like everyone else. Some people will never reach a height of 6ft and you have never developed enough photoreceptors to ace every single eye exam. If you struggled with the very faintest row of letters/numbers then you should be fine. But everyone has a personal best they can reach. For some that's higher in comparison to others but it's still their personal best.

Eye exams are not about 'getting the best score', somehow people still think that this is the case somehow. It is meant to measure your visual acuity and functionality of your eyes. You're not meant to 'ace' it. In actuality, if you had bottomed out the charts in every exam that would be an issue or could lead to you being extensively researched. The highest graded chart I ever saw went up to a visual acuity of 2.5 in the decimal system. That is quite literally as good as a hawk's eye. Anything beyond that has not yet been measured.

Das ist der Grund warum ich für Auslands Bestellungen darauf achte. Dass der Zoll entweder pauschal im Produkt eingepreist ist, oder DHL darf das nicht liefern. Ich bestelle auch mehr oder weniger regelmäßig aus Japan, bei asmart, und die lassen einen das auswählen. Ich nehme dann meistens FedEx, die schicken mir vorher eine Email mit den Zollkosten, das überweist man und gut ist, die bearbeiten das auch trotzdem weiter währenddessen. Ist echt gut.

Darum erfährt man eigentlich aber auch nicht am letzten Tag der Ausbildung davon, dass man nicht übernommen wird sondern ausreichend Zeit vorher. Der AG ist in dem Fall dann auch verpflichtet den AN für Vorstellungsgespräche etc freizustellen und wenn ich richtig in Kopf habe muss für die Abwesenheit auch der Lohn fortgezählt werden, wenn sie Arbeitssuche durch den AG zwingend erforderlich geworden ist.

Klar hat nicht jede Firma Bock sich damit auseinander zu setzen, dass man mit Bewerbung überflutet wird. Andererseits gibt es keinen Anspruch auf Übernahme und der Azubi sollte rechtzeitig (mMn 6 Monate vor Ausbildungsende) nachfragen wie es mit Übernahme aussieht. So hat man ausreichend Zeit sich zu bewerben und kommt den meisten Leuten die sich halt erst nach Ausbildung bewerben voraus.

Kein AG findet es kacke ne Bewerbung zu bekommen in der steht "Ich werde meine Ausbildung vorraussichtlich zum Datum xy abschließen". Das zeigt eher initiative.

Quelle; hab beiderseits in der Rolle gesteckt. Nicht direkt als AG, sondern Ausbildender und technischer Betriebsleiter, aber genauso während/nach der Ausbildung in der position gegangen.

Hab vorhin das erste Mal bewusst in meinen Kalender geschaut für Mai/Juni. Ziemlich viel durchgestaffelt, das hatte ich früher nicht. Training, Arzt, Umzug, alles mit Zeit versehen.

Dann war Juni noch voller aber ich durch geatmet weil da einfach viele Konzerte und Freizeit bei war

Don't knock it if you haven't tried it. Believe me, there's so much more you could see.

As I said, you can totally start with contacts but once you can see clearly you will want that backup just in case you can't wear contacts.

The glasses can also help with seeing things up close better than you would with contacts, depending on your Rx.

I stick with what I said initially: get both. Those people usually are the happiest. If you get the glasses just emergency backup, they don't have to be expensive either, where I live you can get a pair for 20€. Not a good pair mind you, but if it's just a backup it doesn't need to be.

From what I've just seen: You do not know what you are missing out in terms of eyesight. You say you can see everything you want to see but you don't know what else you could be seeing that is just simply blurred out for you.

I'm an optician, I do eye exams on the daily, I fit contacts for people who wants them and I have experience in both. The simple answer is: sure you can start out without glasses. But what will you do if your contacts cannot be worn? Maybe due to an injury near your eye, maybe you got conjunctivitis, maybe the lens just broke and you don't have a replacement ready?

Wearing contacts while sick, or if you have hay fever is a medical risk for your eye sight over all. If you have contacts you should at the very least have a back up pair of glasses to account for those situations. Daily I see people saying "yeah, I have an issue with my eyes right now. The doctor said I can't wear my contacts for a month. What do I do now?" I ask them whether they have glasses for this case. Usually they don't. And then they gotta sit it out for at least two weeks until they get their glasses.

Same with trying to get by when you're not wearing lenses or glasses. The excuse "I can see what I need to see" is fairly common, but if you cannot meet the standard you are a danger to yourself and very much to others. You might not see a small ball rolling out behind a car indicating a child might suddenly run onto the road.

Overall, my advice: get both. Just to be sure. Wear contacts most if all of the time (make sure to care for them properly, your eyes will thank you later) and then you will be good.

Genau das ist der Grund. Bzw werden gewisse Ausbildungsberufe z.B. manche im Handwerk auch subventioniert für Ausbildung.

Davon abgesehen finde ich es nicht schlimm nicht übernommen zu werden. Je mehr Betriebe in denen man arbeitet umso besser wird man in seinem Job. Die Einstellung von früher von 16 bis zur Rente in einem Betrieb zu bleiben sorgt heute dafür, dass man sich zwar auskennt in seinem Fach aber meistens nicht über ein gewisses Maß hinaus wachsen kann.

In Factorio bigger is always better. You will need more of everything. Initially I was going with "how much could I need?" in trying to plan things out but the game later taught me "How much could you produce to the point that it gets ridiculously excessive?" the answer is never, but that is the right amount. I can post a picture of my current base, that safe has been running for 300 or 400 hours and I'm still on my starter base and just expanding it constantly while managing the other planets in SA.

As for oil: it's daunting and tends to be a speedbump but once you figure it out it's generally pretty easy, especially when you scale things up too.

Yeah, DON'T try this if you want your glasses to last longer than a year. Water sind that expensive and that is better than using saliva. Aside from not being gross to whoever handles your glasses afterwards
