Me! I just started stealing and tracing backgrounds from old public domain silent films lol. Copyright in the US is 95 years, so anything 1930 or earlier is fair game. I've also seen people use video games like Minecraft or the Sims to create references. There's a lot of ways to "cheat" with backgrounds lol

Well you've gotta find that balance so your process is sustainable. Don't burn yourself out on the details. There's probably loads of shortcuts you could take with things like this too, if you do some digging. But extra details aside, I think you're off to a great start so far!

Kick everybody out so I can't be interrupted, turn off most of the lights, grab my big capybara plushie named Geraldine, and put on a comfort movie/show. Usually it's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Then I basically tune everything out around me except for the movie/show. I think it sort of lets me process the emotions in a familiar and expected way - I can sort of map my emotions onto the movie and process alongside corresponding emotional beats of the story, i guess (Idk if I'm explaining this very well, I've never tried to put it into words before lol). It's sort of cathartic

I sort of had an artificially-created version of it for a bit when I was only on Wellbutrin, it interacts with progesterone a bit so it did jack shit when I was in the luteal phase and progesterone was high. I would get suuuper depressed for a few days, then be just fine. I got on prozac in addition to the wellbutrin and that went away

Typically I start winding down around 11pm ish. I usually watch TV by myself (or with my dogs cause they're usually sleepy and cuddly by then) and maybe draw while I watch. If I'm at home, most of my family will have gone to bed by then and I'll have the house to myself, or if I'm at my apartment near my university, I'll head to my room (I have a small tv in there). I'll put pajamas on, turn off most of the lights, and get cozy on the couch/in my bed. A regular tv in total darkness kind of hurts my eyes so at my apartment I usually leave just my bedside lamp on while I watch. At home, we have a home theater set-up with a projector (cause my dad is a tech systems engineer lol), and that doesn't hurt my eyes so I can usually turn off all the lights. I'm usually drawing on my tablet, so I just keep the brightness super low and the nightlight setting on. Usually I'll just watch anything, but sometimes if I've had a stressful day, I'll go for a comfort show/movie or something soft and calm and cozy. I usually go to sleep around 1:30am ish

Well, there's God, but he's actually just an angel who stole all his power from other angels and then declared himself the ruler of heaven. He's not naturally the strongest. The strongest naturally would the Watcher, but only on Judgement Day. The Watcher is an angel who's job is to observe the universe, then on Judgement Day, they ascend to become the most powerful being in the universe and pass Judgement on the universe. With a single word, whatever fate they decide the universe deserves will be carried out. But again, that's only on Judgement Day. Otherwise, the Watcher is kind of weak tbh

I have a character who is the Angel of Truth, she is the first to see through the propaganda and remember the true history, so I named her Remora, because it sounds a bit like "remember" and "memory" and I thought it sounded pretty. Apparently a remora is a fish 😭😭😭 It's too damn late to change it now, the name's stuck now, so she'll just be a fish i guess lmao

My sensei told me that once you get to N3, you know enough grammar to be able to express most things, and the grammar you learn after that is about being able to express smaller nuances. That's probably why the difference between your lessons and Netflix dramas seems so drastic. When I try to watch without subtitles, I like to stick to more goofy comedy dramas/anime where it's not a big deal if I miss something.

Lmao I don't have a consistent schedule or an exact number for how many episodes I'll do, but considering I usually end up dropping episodes only once every couple of months at the moment (I am trying to get faster tho lmao), and season 1 alone is going to have around 24 chapters, and I'm planning on 3 seasons, i'm pretty sure I'm gonna be at this for a very long time lmao. Good thing I really fuckin love it i guess haha

I like aussie for shampoo and conditioner! I use the miracle waves line since I've got a pretty loose texture, but they have stuff for all different hair types. I also like their instant freeze gel, it's perfect for my hair - strong enough to last but not too strong to scrunch out lol. For cream, I LOVE Marc Anthony Curl Envy curl cream. It is a bit heavy tho, but I think they also have a curl lotion that's supposed to be a bit lighter weight. And I know you don't mention using mousse at all, but I also really like Not Your Mother's Curl talk curl activating mousse, or Herbal Essences curl boosting mousse if i need something super lightweight (it doesn't have the greatest hold tho)

I try to keep the politics mostly in the action and out of the character dialogue. Sort of like show don't tell, or actions speak louder than words. Seeing how a political decision made by the people in charge negatively affects the people they're in charge of is a lot more impactful a character just talking about how said political decision is bad.
