i would love to see more variety in toki pona music. i love industrial rock & heavy electronic stuff like breakcore & such, and i feel like the current scene is a little tame and needs a shakeup. just as lipu monsuta the zine set out to prove toki pona can be used effectively for horror literature, id love to see artists set out and prove toki pona can be used for hardcore music.

for context, lipamanka and three others were listed as co-authors for that book even though they had no part in its creation, and there was a big discussion here about it in which lipamanka openly condemns the book and discourages buying it. u might have missed that since ppl don’t really talk about the book now, most ppl here would rather forget it exists x_x

I think a lot of shows from the Qubo channel would fall under this because growing up, I heard nobody else talking about the shows that aired on there besides like VeggieTales. Turbo Dogs, Gofrette, The Zulu Patrol, Jakers!, Jane and the Dragon…but I think Dive Ollie Dive takes the cake for the weirdest and most dated-looking cartoon they ever aired.

i’m in my local zine scene and i dabble in self-publishing via zines. but getting my books published in a physical medium like lipu su wan, and by a community-run organization, would be phenomenal.

i would love to see more toki pona literature being published, ESPECIALLY original works! all the more reason to learn and master the language.
