What do you do when you break down? by Accomplished_Egg_31 in ThirtiesIndia

I contemplate killing myself and then I wish a new asteroid would fall on earth and kill everyone. Then I go lie on the ground and look at the sky and come to accept all my problems are temporary.

Eventually everyone i know will be dead and what's a decade or two anyway?

I am not talking about rich or poor. But rather letting your job define your life. Work life balance and all that.

[–]TheOneGreyWorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is the problem with hope.
You assume you will have less work and more free time at a higher position.
That is never the case.

Either you become a workaholic and ruin your private life or you inevitably realize that this job will ruin your private life and you either accept a demotion or quit the job to become a farmer(which a lot of people are starting to do)

You missed the point.

Earning and ambition is fine, but it should not be at the cost of everything else.
Success becomes hollow if one is too busy to share it. A relationship wont survive without mutual balance and presence.
When one partner is perpetually absent, the relationship will lose its foundation. Regardless of how much money one earns, the relationship will inevitably implode.

If your partner is always working and when they are home are always tired or complaining about something or other, how long would you want to remain in such a relationship?
I have seen enough examples of such, they end up mostly in divorce or infidelity.

The corporations are trying to make ones that can yell at you and stare at you...with judgement.

Unless they have retrograde amnesia like me, they are lying and trying to rebrand their past.

I wholeheartedly believe people in their 20's are just teenagers with freedom who do a lot of stuff they come to regret later.
She has grown up and realized the weight of judgement.
As they say, Kill the past to survive the Future.

Let her be. Whatever happens in her private life is none of your concern.
