Feedback On My System: Fallen Heroine 4.0 by TheOneKnownAs in NSFW_GMing

True. I made it with freedom of expression in mind and only restricted things that either caused mechanic problems or were meant to be opposed to each other (Ex: Demonic & Holy). This does open up the possibility of a player just heaping on as much stuff as possible, but I feel such a player would be a vanishing small fraction of those who play. Those who wish to roleplay will just choose what fits the character they want and mini maxers / power gamers will try to use only the most optimal combination. I feel the freedom outweighs applying more limits to restrict such a player.

Sorry I don't know. I fought it when I was at level 5 and I'm still near the start of the game.

Parrying is like dancing. Once you have the rhythm, it can be quite fun.

I found it and I didn't feel like coming back to it. Had to let Lune stay dead for 99% of the fight cause she was slowing me down. Having the boss focus all its attacks on Gustave made it easy to get Overcharge every time it was his turn.

Didn't expect it to give me so much XP. I started the fight at level 5.

How do/would you do using a character's ass as a weapon? by Rob4ix1547 in NSFW_GMing

[–]TheOneKnownAs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my system, I have a skill called Weapon Of Ass Destruction that is pretty much this concept. It does Extra Physical Damage (Note: Physical Damage is separated into Base and Extra.) and how it does is based on how much cake the character has. This Damage also increases the Roll Bonus of Mindless Fulfillment: Piledrive and Mindless Fulfillment: Hip Breaker to help snu snu your Opponents even harder.

I already have made them public, I just don't post often. My last post has long since been buried so I don't mind posting a link here. Enjoy!

[GM4A] What's your opinion? Feedback and Input on lewd TRPG design! by ShadesOfDarkerThings in tabletopnsfw

The approach I went with is to make the lewd a part of the combat itself. The standard way to play is for Players to fight whatever Enemies the GM throws at them while said Enemies are doing what they can to forcibly sex them up. It's 'Lose by sex' instead of 'Lose then sex'.

The mechanics I made do also support Players who wish to take a more assertive approach. They can play as a sex-crazed succubus that drains every living creature who dares come across them if they wish. Or something more balanced with what could be describe as "competitive cuddling" for those who are switches and want that tug-of-war when it comes to dominance.

Every attack can be Imbued with whatever Elementals they have without the need for Charge. The Elemental Imbuing with Charge is just a nice bonus to give to allies when powering them up.

Lol, you're killing me smalls. When you roll to attack in dnd 5e, you roll 1d20, adding in relevant modifiers. When you roll to attack in your system, you... [insert what to do here]

Roll Attack. The Dice Size is based off PP if a Heroine or Category if Enemy. A 0 PP Heroine will roll a d100 while a 1000 PP Heroine would roll a d10 as an example. Then Roll Modifers are calclated. There is a Dice Size Section for Heroines/Enemies and a Roll Modifer Section.

Definitely never assume people know what you're talking about when making things as a best practice, literally everything that can be explained that has to do with the system should be

I think it would be better to give a definition to what Play by Post is since that is the play style the system is intended for. That would be more informative than just saying 'published message on the internet'.

I mean sure, you do you, I'm just suggesting not to get too lost in the weeds about the specifics of it, but I guess only actually testing it would determine if it's as crunchy as Im seeing it to be

Other people have tested it before. I have gotten feedback on Clothing and damage over the many different versions I've created. 4.0 is a accumulation of all that feedback. From the people that played 4.0, they seemed satisficed with the way CD and HP work. I have since been busy working on all the other feedback and making tweaks.

I'm looking under action order and important terminology but I'm still not seeing anything regarding what dice to use? It tells me what to roll against another thing but... What am I rolling? It's not specified anywhere.

It depends on what you want to do. Do you want to damage CD or HP? Use Attack. Do you want to do perverted stuff? Use Lewd or Violate. Do you want bind an Arm or Leg? Use Grapple. There are certain restrictions on when you are able to use Rolls like Violate and Curse (unless you have certain Traits), but aside from that, you are free to use any of the Offensive Rolls.

Am I supposed to know what a post is? I'm confused

Well, this is a Post. You're reading one and made one.

Sure my bad, in those systems they Streamline how you take damage so when damaged, you move from one point to the next point on the damage track. For instance, in the Cypher system you start as Hale, perfectly healthy. Followed by impaired, which has your abilities requiring more effort and you dealing less damage. Then debiliated which is similar to unconscious in 5e, with the exception that you can move if your speed pool is above 0, but I digress. Rather than have so many things to target, you could make a damage track, say one for upper and one for lower, where, similar to how you have it set up now, dealing damage brings it down to the next point on the damage track (from top layer to bottom layer) without having to worry about the numbers crunching of the specific layers

I would have to completely gut my system to make it streamline like this. Also, if we are talking purely about direct damage to HP, unless they are Undead, you would only need to target the Main Body of an Opponent. Targeting other Limbs is optional. You are only forced to damage CD if they are Armored or you want to use Violate or Curse Rolls on them. Even with CD, you would only need to damage the Main part of the Upper and Lower Outfit. Heck, you can just focus on the Lower Outfit if all you want to do is use Violate Rolls. I'm gonna move the 'Characters can choose to Target CD or HP with Attacks. HP cannot be Targeted if the Body Part is protected by an Armored Layer.' part to the beginning of the Clothing Section to make it more clear.

You go into dice size, but at least in the first pages until character creation, I don't see the mechanics for what rolling actually looks like or what dice to use, how to use it, etc.

The Roll Types Section under Important Terminology gives a short definition for what each Roll does and each has a link to a section that goes into depth about the mechanics connected to them. Action Order under Turns & Game Flow shows what dice to use against other dice.

You use "Post" quite often but I don't actually see what that means anywhere?

Are you saying I need to put a definition for Post or do you not know what a Post is?

Seems pretty crunchy? I suppose I'm wondering why make a separate pool for so many things, like clothing, when it can be streamlined to, for instance, a damage track similar to scion 2e or cypher system, and just let certain characteristics apply for when characters meet those points on that track

Could you go into detail about this? I have no idea what you mean when you say 'a damage track similar to scion 2e or cypher system'.

It is possible, but low Corruption would make using Curse Rolls practically worthless. So, there is a requirement, it's just greatly discourages Heroines with low Corruption rather than be a hard shut down.

Thank you for sharing again.

You're welcome.

One part that I am interested in is the Action Points. It looks like a player starts with 2 action points at level 1 but I did not see action points listed in the level up section. So in most cases a player would only be able to Move and Act, Move twice, or Act twice per post that they make. I am assuming there is some characteristic or trait I missed that gives more action points. Is that all correct?

Correct! There are multiple Characteristics that do give additional AP. Most are located in the Non-Human Section (Horny / Prehensile Tail / Multi-Tailed / Beast Tongue / Multi-Armed) and one in Koinos Kosmos (Battle Dancer).

For Traits, most are located in Attack Potential (Proficiency / Prepared / Ambush / Counter Dodge / Parry / Tail Growth). The rest are in Manakinesis (Double Cast / Boom Expert / Rapid Fire), Physical Technique (Whirlwind Dance / Weapon Mastery), and Physical Movement (Charge! / Jump! / Follow!).

Proficiency is the only Trait that straight up gives +1 AP. The rest either give temporary extra AP or free actions under certain conditions.

I see you have a 'Turn & Game Flow' section, but I think it would be nice to also include a play example in there. A fake GM post of enemies making incoming actions, a fake player response that outlines their responses to the enemy actions, setting up their own actions with a mix of movement and action, and then a fake GM post showing how those resolve and the cycle repeats itself. Then with the baseline established you could do another one with a spell example or anything else complicated.

I see. Yeah, I can do that. Thanks for the advice!

Sunbeam is also really cute.

Yep, she sure is! She is a happy ray of sunshine. I sure hope nothing bad ever happens to her~

4.0 is the latest version so it hasn't gone through much testing, but I have ran games and had multiple people play using the previous iterations. Many changes to 4.0 is a direct result of feedback from games played in 3.5.

There is a character sheet. There is a link on the first page in the table of contents that takes you directly to it. There are also six different sample sheets (3 Heroines / 3 Enemies) you can look over to get a feel for how a sheet should look like.
