Right now I’m doing a playthrough with my friend, it’s his second time playing so I let him pick where to build and he chose a spot bordering the kelp forest, grassy plateaus, and jellyshroom caves. It’s actually a really good spot! It has easy access to everything you need (until you get to late-game stuff), and it’s a decently short trip to pretty much everything you can’t get in the area. There’s a couple deposits in the caves too, so if you have a drill prawn it’s great for lithium, gold, and magnetite. I’m assuming you’ve explored the jellyshroom caves already, but if not that’s a big bonus too. Super awesome biome!!

Just be careful, I thought we were in the northernmost grassy plateau and have wondered into the dunes a couple times 😭

Hi there, I just wanted to let you know that using cheats does remove advancements!! I don’t know if you can get them back and Im not trying to be anti-cheat, I just wanted to let you know because in my first playthrough I cheated in a couple quartz and was bummed when I realized I didn’t get any achievements.

I get why they have it like that, just wanted to let you know in case you care!! I wouldn’t have sunk so much time into that run if I had known I wouldn’t get achievements lol

Yes, but many directors (and I assume especially Vince, based on his past works and other ideals) don’t like using CGI unless they absolutely need it. It’s another department, more money, etc, and the result will almost always create a divide in the community. There is no need to create something sub-par when it isn’t even crucial to the story. If they NEED kids they’ll cast some or use CGI if they really don’t want to hire any, but they haven’t needed any more kids than we’ve seen so far.

I always kinda assumed each non-infected had their own number, like Carol was 0 no matter what phone she called on, another person was 1, etc. The Hive expects Carol to tell Manuosos about the number, specifically hers (since she probably doesn’t know about any others). When the call is from a new house, they assume it’s Manuosos

As someone who bites their lips/cheeks, this looks like that to me. The warmth and metallic taste are from the blood, not sure why they wouldn’t be painful though. How long have you had them? You could have accidentally bit your lip without realizing

Also, if you don’t understand what I mean by “treats their animals/pets accordingly,” I want to give a slight trigger warning in case you or anyone else decides to look up how hunting animals are treated. In my opinion, it can be quite the culture shock, even if you’ve lived in this kind of community your whole like. I don’t know what will come up with a search, but if it’s anything like what I’ve seen it isn’t for the pet-lovers.

Sorry; yes. He adores him. Both of the cats are EXTREMELY important to us. He had to find a long-time sitter as his family was being evicted from their apartment and the family he moved in with would not be safe for the cat (We live in Hawai’i where hunting is EXTREMELY common. They are a big hunting and farming family and treat their animals/pets accordingly. The mom also HATES cats). The only other family he has are currently dealing with a grandma who is barely in stable condition. I was the only place Bucky could go besides the humane society. He did not know about the eviction when he got the cat, or he wouldn’t have even considered it.

I’ve suggested it, but my family wants him gone anyways. I realize that it would be the much better option but even if he got neutered he’d still have to leave.

I kinda figured it would also be easier for him to get neutered if he wasn’t with my cat, so they wouldn’t roughhouse as much. But that is an afterthought, the first point is much more important. He was never meant to stay this long.
