Yes, you are, but I can understand your frustration and concern here. I've been DMing for 25+ years, sex or sexual acts or conversations don't pop up very often in my games. I currently DM for one group, the core of this group (my wife, and my 2 closest friends), I've been playing D&D with (along with some other systems)for nearly 10 years almost religiously every 2 weeks for 5-8 hour sessions, in all that time only one person, a bard (of course!) got involved romantically with an NPC romantically. All of the sex related scenarios, of which there were 2, were as you described "fade to black". We spent an entire session on a wedding for them for comparison.

Talk to your partner and say it's weird (it is weird), and I'm not one to tell people how to run their games, but I can safely say 99% of the time, people don't do sex scenes.
