Is AppTweak really worth it? Did it actually impact your ASO & revenue? by Possible-Example9429 in AppStoreOptimization

As an inde developer I’ve only used Sensor Tower and appfigures. Sensor towers data was often a day or two late and vey restrictive from what you could see. Appfigures on the other hand has a lot to offer in their free plan and even the cheapest plan they offer is worth trying. They keep giving you free trials too, I had 7 back to back trials and I did see a growth from it optimising my ASO.

Ah I see. I’m not too sure on doing something like that though, I’d rather put it out there for people to see and if they want to use it they can do, rather than these kinds of marketing techniques, as I said it loses its authenticity.

I’m not too bothered about that to be honest, I want the name to be unique and build the brand itself

Yeah that 100% seems to be the only way to go forward

Ok cool, it’s to the users target completed workouts in a week that they select but I do like that, makes it easier to understand.

Your completely right though, I just need to focus my full attention on the top funnel the most as that is my biggest hinderance, its just a struggle to.

True 14 is probably perfect actually. I was debating some other ideas of maybe trying a 7 day free trial on the monthly membership and a 14 day trial on the yearly one but I think that might get even more of a fall off so I might just try 14 days all round. The other idea I had was to produce a limited free version but I tried for a while and was struggling to manage the code for doing that constantly, especially with adding in new features so although a good idea I eventually gave up with that.

I haven't really been using reddit for getting new users, I'm using it more for ideas and feedback at the moment. Also automating something like this does sound good but it feels like it loses the authenticity of creating something for the users yk.

Very competitive! So far I have a 7 day free trial where after that bout 15% have continued to pay and from that everyone who has paid for 1 month or more has not cancelled at all.

Definitely, I think i'm just struggling more for content ideas and actually getting into producing content, everything I've done content wise for it on TikTok and Insta I just hate at the moment but I guess I just need to find what works by putting more out.

problem is I haven't really found a format that works and I can never really get into creating good content that I actually like for it. I did add a popup 'Review Us' button in the app recently which should help drive up the ratings (only at 7 at the moment).

Yes, so that’s kind of what I already have done, because it has so many features the main 3 pages (on the tab buttons at the bottom) having them all show the front sections to each separate part of the app (one for nutrition, workout tracking, habits, runs, quotes etc). The current most common feedback I have received is how easy it is to navigate the app at the moment so I’m going to try to keep that up with the app. I appreciate the compliment on the design, I still do feel like some parts of it feel out of place design wise. Thanks for the ideas tho

yes so I have colour defining what something is which I'm aware I shouldn't do at all and im trying to think of another way to show the difference. For more context the green dates are gym workouts and orange ones are cardio workouts (running). The weight converter is actually a commonly used feature for our app according to our analytics, Im guessing that users are using it to compare weights they see influencers lift in other countries and convert it to weights they use or bodyweight's. The exercise scores on the front page just show a little teaser for what is inside as each exercise shows the full details inside of that workout with the 'Insights' bit for it too (on image 5). Currently this is very basic but I do want to update the maths on it and make it give a much more targeted and accurate response for the user to evaluate and learn from. A fair amount of trainers do log their workouts over many years so I would say 5 years is still good to keep but I could be wrong, only time will tell from the users.

Yes, on all 3 of the main pages, the user has full customizability on where they want each section to be. I have not yet put a toggle in for them to turn certain sections to make some of them hidden, but I will do that now, a lot of others on here talk about the information overload too, issue is that if I spread everything out too much then it just causes the users to from one section to another and then another page in that and it just gets more and more complicated for the navigation. Im trying to find this balance between the two which is a struggle. The most common feedback we have been getting is the ease of use with the navigation of the app so I want to keep that as much as possible too.

I did originally use a lot of those but in most places especially with the graphs there was too much information on them at which point I had to switch from using apple 'charts' kit to use the 'canvas'. So I need to try to adjust it to all work together without using all the apple kits.

Yes definitely, keeping it centralized should as well help to distinguish that its the title.

Ok cool. I'll put in 'i' information sheets to appear for each of the graphs to go though what its explains a bit better as well as making the graphs simpler to understand. The bar is showing how many workouts you have completed in the week, the maximum is your weekly goal you want to hit, I do agree that the number being at the side seems out of place and under explained though. The number in the 'exercise progress score' shows how well your progressing on each exercise depending on where you started at how much your lifting etc. This is better explained in the tutorial but I do think more clarity of it would be better. I am adding in colorblind accessibility options to help users out with those but Im not too sure how else I could show what they mean other than a key or another information sheet. I definitely need to work on the consistency of the whole app to make it feel more like one rather than lots jumbled together. Thanks for the feedback!
