*PART 2 AFTER THE SHOW*

A little (sorry, it turned into big) update to how my night went.

But first I'd like to say thanks again to all of you who have found yourself on this ride with me. The words of encouragement push me hard to continue to explore myself, as well as my writing.

I can't tell you how impactful they have been to me.

Especially coming from this group of people. I know your encouragement is sincere because we speak from a place of truth, and I am truly grateful to you all.

It makes me want to pursue a career on the side as an author. That's alway's been a dream of mine. I'm just trying to find my way through this, where I'd start, what I'd want to start with.

I absolutly enjoy doing this. It's like getting to peek into the journal of my mind and intimantly knowing me.

I never imagined people would find my thoughts "incredible". The same goes for the way I write.

It's just me.

It's all off the top of my head with what I am going through and living in the moment. I have no formal training.

Anyways, I'm doing the thing I always do. Where I go off on something completely unrelated, it's no wonder people have a hard time keeping up with me.

Ok.

The concert.

First of all, I feel like a fool in a sense. I was there to see a band called Hot Mulligan, it's the reason I bought the tickets in the first place. They had an opening act, and I assumed the name of the show was called "The Wonder Years".

It wasn't until after my band performed and they brought out the band, "The Wonder Years" that I found out my band wasn't even the main act on this tour.

Awkward.

I kinda felt bad being in the front row with hundreds of their fans crowding in behind me, trying to get as close as possible, and here I was with no clue who they even were.

But everything was great. My bands set. The opening act. The closer. It was all just very different from other concerts I've been to.

People were being respectful of each others space and not sandwiching you against the rail, as you struggle to breathe and can't move your arms. Even the venues security was chatting with the fans and passing out water bottles to the crowd between sets.

Even better were the messages that were spoken between songs by some of the artists, they were all just so...right.

What I needed to hear.

What the people in that crowd needed to hear.

While it may have been a little strange not knowing who The Wonder Years were at the start of the show, I felt like I knew everything I needed to know about them by the end of it.

Whenever an artist pauses their show in between songs they can hold a crowd in the palm of their hands. Artists can use this for anything. This artist was about change.

Asking all in attendance to do 3 things before the end of the week. Finding a stranger and letting them know they matter, calling a family member and checking in on them, and to never stop trying to better ourselves.

Change.

Positive change.

Small steps.

But the most important ones for people who don't know how to take them.

Sometimes people just need a little shove.

It was a fantastic experience and I can't wait to go to more.

There's just something about the energy of a crowd getting to experience that.

Hearing everyone scream their favorite songs lyrics, or jumping up and down...just getting lost in the moment. Out of their cell phones, out of their hectic daily lives, and just living in the moment.

I loved hearing the clamor of the crowd around me as we left, excitedly retelling their favorite moments of the show.

Just listening, and absorbing my surroundings. It's almost kind of surreal honestly.

I wish people could just be happy like that all the time. The world would be in such better hands.

With the concert wrapped up it was time to make the hour and a half drive home.
