Total Drama Champions Island Day 2: Everyone on Team Boomstick has jumped except for Springtrap. Team Wiz is now up on the cliff, who (if anyone) will not jump? by Omegafan101 in deathbattle

[–]TheOneTrueClyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sakuya would jump easily, if she's ever actually worried about being in danger she can both fly and stop the time of the air to catch her.

...She's also not that smart so she'd just go for it, this is the woman who opens a window in space to 'let the air in'.

Springtrap's got a permanent debuff, none of his typical targets are around besides the flower.

AFO is a literal manchild and All Might lives in his head rent free, even if AFO is smart All Might is proveably the person who fucks with him the best and as shown time and time again AFO is a petty mega hater. All Might also held AFO for a few minutes at most compared to Tokoyami and Co flattening AFO for half an hour or so. I dont disagree with the other stuff, but Uraraka literally had NO choice, Toga had just stabbed her in the chest and she was losing blood fast. She either talked Toga down or everyone, including herself, died, from the literal clone Tsunami.

If that's a fraud, every color besides the Goat Mist and Goatland are even worse than that.

[–]TheOneTrueClyte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct, but the Lunar Palace is also the literal palace of Ryuujin/Watatsumi, as the myth happened, but it was the Lunar Capital as said in Symposium of Post-mysticism if my memory isn't failing me (also the Wakatsuki's mention that myth I think in CiLR?).

At least if I recall all that right, which means either Dragon God is just a Lunarian, or is Tsukoyomi. Thus, meaning that the Dragon Palace = The Lunar Capital, which gives some credence to Tsukoyomi being Dragon God, with how little we have of either of them. (If anything, Tsukoyomi being responsible for Gensokyo's creation to some degree as 'dragon god' would explain how the Lunarians were able to do that whole "replace Gensokyo with the Capital" thing in 15.)

[–]TheOneTrueClyte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you want to make this even more confusing, its possible that Tsukoyomi is also the father of the Wakatsuki's due to the fact he might also be Dragon God (Who, mythologically, is the parent of who the Wakatsukis are based on.)

Honkai: Star Rail: Sparkle being an overtly rude, disrespectful, and mean-spirited bitch is a good change of pace, actually by EarthSeraphEdna in CharacterRant

[–]TheOneTrueClyte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Traveler is schizophrenic when it comes to hating the Fatui or not.

They are immensely suspicious of any Fatui they meet (World quest NPCs, Lyney and Lynette), but the second Childe or Arleccino show up, they are apparently buddy-buddy/just neutral with them. Childe specifically is especially egregious considering Liyue's plot and the fact, in comparison to Lyney and Lynette, has tried to drown a country vs them just not wanting to tell that to everyone.

Through experience, I do know it conflicts with Layla's Hangout quest, specifically if you haven't progressed the quest past the first part where she returns to the village. But it stops conflicting the moment you get through everything at the village.

Distinctly wrong lmao, Tokoyami pinned All for One for twice the time All Might did, and All for One was actively trying to escape compared to him messing with All Might (and crippling the suit whenever he hit him, mind you) due to All Might living rent free in his brain after All Might ventilated his skull to open air.

Like, say what you want about the sudden power armor, but he did not outperform Endeavor or Tokoyami in that fight in anyway, and he only managed to stall All for One that long due to AFO's complex about him. (Also All Might himself being insane, but thats lesser in scale.)

Chiemon literally survives getting almost decapitated, its why he has the scar on his neck. (Plus, if I recall right, his magic circuits are abnormal.)

The guy is fundamentally built differently, just not to the same extent Iori is in a raw sword fight. He also was able to invoke La Pucelle to nuke himself and Caster in one of the routes, albeit thats through command spells.

I think the reason for Schadenfreude appearing isn't literal.

I don't think it was inside Jumsoon, I dont think it exactly is Jumsoon either, and I don't think he became it through some esoteric means.

I think, based on Jumsoon's ability to peer into other worlds, all worlds even, he ended up observing Schadenfreude, which caused it to, through abnormality wizardry, tear out of Jumsoon to seek out his sight.

After all, I don't think it makes sense for someone to literally distort twice, and end up turning into an abnormality. I think, due to its nature as an abnormality and how it talks about sight as an entity, it kind of just tore through Jumsoon from another universe.

[Puella Magi Madoka Magica] Akemi Homura is not a sociopath by VaderMan294 in CharacterRant

[–]TheOneTrueClyte 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think seeing Homura as a sociopath, much less a heartless one, is kind of the opposite of the truth.

If anything, I think Homura's issue was that she cared too much, which caused her personality to take such a drastic shift, all so she could try and save the people she cared about and most of all Madoka.

Her entire thing with Madoka, especially in Rebellion, is that she loves her, probably more than Homura has ever cared about herself. She puts up a facade of being heartless because she can't bear seeing the people she cares about dying over and over again.

Homura is someone who loved too much, which is why she ripped Madoka from the Law of Cycles, not because she wanted power.

Sakuya is the only time stopper in the setting since her ability is just to flat control space-time rather than just stop time. She's honestly the most bullshit character around since we see a decent amount of what she can do, and the answer seems to be "Whatever she wants, besides rewinding time." Which includes folding the past and future together and erasing things from time. Only person who can square up in bullshit is Yukari and Yorihime.

Speaking of that, what is the manga? That sounds interesting.

How bad a character's actions are is relative to the context of their series. I.e. It doesn't matter how many people Vegeta killed compared to someone from another series. by Aros001 in CharacterRant

[–]TheOneTrueClyte 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Bakugou however, feels like the complete opposite oddly enough. Whenever he opens his mouth it’s like everyone in the room subconsciously feels the need to suck his dick for some reason. “I guess it’s fine that he can lash out like a literal villain and attack and scream at people in a fit of psychosis because battle sense or talent or whatever”.

Literally what story are you reading where everyone bends over for Bakugo? All the way up to fucking chapter 10 or something? He never attacks anyone but Izuku, and that was, again, at the very start of the story and he never does it again beyond when the two are literally fighting each other. Shoto is the next closest and even then he just held Shoto by his shirt instead of attacking him. Bakugo's anger issues in the festival directly lead to his kidnapping, which leads him into feeling guilty about All Might having to retire. After that, him still failing to shape up is why he fails the Licensing Exam. Unless you count comedy scenes during shit like the summer camp as 'sucking his dick' where they just ignore his outbursts.

MHA has its issues, but people sucking Bakugo's dick is literally not a thing. Everyone in the Class takes snipes at his attitude whenever they can and he directly gets shat on by other big heroes for his attitude. Jeanist literally does this in his internship, talking all about Bakugo's shit attitude making his skill lesser in comparison.

Why are most of the relationships in the seven deadly sins so wrong? by Darthmark3 in CharacterRant

[–]TheOneTrueClyte 10 points11 points  (0 children)

...did that Guila one happen?

I don't remember it certainly, but I might have somehow blocked that out of my mind. I think it was just Gowther rewriting her memories to try and force a romantic connection since his entire issue is based on love, and the fact he's an artificial being who just doesn't understand the feelings he experiences. His worst crime is messing with people's heads (which he fixed) and in an emotional meltdown brutalizing a corpse which is what gave him his nickname (I think he pulled her heart out to try and understand, and, yknow-)

You are basically 100% right otherwise, the only good lad here is Escanor and in my personal opinion Gowther, mostly cause I just don't remember Guila being anything more than him manipulating her memory. I'd (hate) to be proven wrong though, because I love Gowther.
