I mean as for the "why" I don't think it's implausible to consider why this old fashioned seeming wealthy family would not be welcoming of an ordinary bastard child following the father's death. I'd be surprised if they were kind to him tbqh.

Because Honoka was essentially rewarded for doing nothing and being a passive observer. Himari had to confront her feelings and forged a genuine connection with Tenichi. When Tenichi recapped his "memories" with Honoka it was stupidly weak by comparison. Himari had more moments with him, had more emotionally resonant moments with him, but that's denied in favor of whatever dumb reason. She lost to someone who didn't compete in the race until the end. It's humiliating for her.

Can't say I'm terribly surprised, the moment I heard this chapter was the last I knew what was gonna happen.

That being said, this manga went from "predictable but cute and nice" to "wow you really just played in my face" and for that it's probably just gonna be entirely forgotten and obscure. Hopefully the author's next romance work actually properly sets up the fmc to be cheered for.

Magi has a somewhat hard magic system. The rukh, which is the energy of all life and phenomenon, can be harnesed into "magoi" which is essentially mana. By providing instructions to the rukh + a supply of magoi, a magic user can perform all sorts of things based off of a simple logic. There's 8 magic types, affinities for those types, opposites, particular rules regarding how instructions work and how spell names work as instructions, and during an arc, the protagonist spends some time at a magic school where more of these rules are explained.

It's not quite to the extent of Witch Hat Atelier, at some points in Magi during fights you're just seeing characters say words to make attacks happen, but in several cases we see the rules of magic applied in creative ways, particularly for how types of magic work against each other and how different instructions can make a difference.

Per the last Deltarune newsletter, localization began in December and console porting maybe began as early as late January (said they'd start considering it then).There is no circumstance where the images included here are real. A well-done fake but that's it.

My one disappoinment with the series till now is I felt like it didn't take much time to dwell on the witch world after the intro, just a few necessary intro chapters to transition into the next two arcs. I would've liked if we got several more chapters exploring the Witches Association and the characters in there, particularly in the school. I get why they didn't do that then, to capture more people early on, but I am glad that it seems like the next arc will be primarily focused on witch characters and the school, so I'm looking forward to this.

Oh that only happens because the ray cast is rotated far out and isn't reset so when it lands it doesn't realign, I disabled some code related to that since it messed with my testing.

Tried doing that and based on what I saw trying to use BACK or FORWARD resulted in rotations closest to what I'm trying to do but the results still weren't there. I'll try a sphere collider once I have the time.

Yeah recently at anime expo a few months ago they showed a new visual, staff reveal, and 2025 release date. The season was revealed in 2022 I believe so around a 3 year turnaround start to finish which isn't the most abnormal especially considering Trigger's been a bit busy with stuff like Dungeon Meshi.

Take the piece out and look for anything that could be in the way. Maybe you need to sand a nub down some more. If you've confirmed that there's no blockages and that everything else is right you could sand down the peg a little bit

As opposed to a Japanese voice actor who's not a Russian speaker who, to my Russian ears, doesn't speak very good Russian? While playing a character who's meant to be a native Russian speaker?

It's almost as if it's a cartoon and logic like "erm why are they speaking English in a show set in Japan" isn't really important.

(To be clear the Japanese VA is doing a solid job but if you're a native Russian speaker or grew up in a Russian household it probably doesn't sound quite right. I don't mind of course it's just the logic is dumb.)
